How the hell do you guys keep your porn folders organized?

I swear I spent two hours last night looking for the thing I wanted to fap to, and by the time I found it my dick was in physical pain from being hard for that long. Enough is enough, it's time for me to start cataloging and re-labeling things.

I don't organize.
I've rarely had the need to fap to something specific.

Awhile back, my old 4chan and porn folder was one big mess.
My porn folder was essentially one giant folder I would dump shit into. However, that was horrible.

I decided to completely abandon my old folder and system (not deleting it though, God forbid), and made a new one.

Porn is organized by fetish and Adult Boards. Like all /d/ material is located in subfolders in the d folder, which is in my porn folder. So something like pregnant or futa would have their own folder. When a certain thing has a lot of picture, I make even more subfolders, like I make a facesitting or multiple or humiliation subfolder in my femdom folder. Every folder in my entire collection also has a folder named throwaways for pictures that I still wish to save but aren't the best quality. Keeps the better pictures in the main folder. Sometimes I also make an unassigned or miscellaneous folder if I don't want the main folder to get bloated.

That's just pictures. Videos and doujinshi have completely different folders, but also separated by what the main fetish or genre it is.

Touhou usually has its own folders and groups too.

Almost all of the porn I download is doujinshi so I just have one large folder for it. I should really get to tagging it properly, but it's about 50gb with over 1000 individual doujins. I also have various folders for pictures that I have sorted by the main fetish depicted like futa, or monster girl. My 3D folder is entirely seperate and only contains a few movies anyway.

I find it really fascinating how simple image folders from the beginning of one's internet career evolve into complex sorting systems. I wish there was a 1 hour documentation of this sort of thing with Morgan Freeman as moderator.

For several years I've just had one folder where I throw porn into. It's never exceeded 50 images.

I sort everything by month.
It's very easy to remember where a picture is and I can see how my tastes have changes over the years.

There is a tool called Folder axe which splits your files into folders automatically by date, name etc.

Then I use an extension called "save image to folder" and set it to the current month.

Way back when, I pretty much dumped my images into My Pictures and that was it.
It was horrible, but I learned my lesson over the years.

Tagging would be best but it's just way too much effort for me.

If it involves a character from something I've watched/played/read then I simply sort it by the name of the thing they are from with a sub folder of the character. For example: \...\Lewd\Hentai\Rule 34\Touhou\Sakuya Izayoi

Else I just sort it by fetish. For example: \...\Lewd\Hentai\Monstergirl\Goo
It gets annoying when something fits multiple categories though.

I use a program called VisiPics to search for duplicated occasionally.

It's probably 12 files, one of which is a txt containing an inventory and a changelog.
