Janitorial question about accepted and unaccepted video games on /jp/. The general rule a mod made was that video games that had VN elements were okay here. However, I have noticed that on both /v/ and /vg/, untranslated video games are impossible to discuss. Even in generals, nobody is remotely close to fluent.

Is there more likely to be a larger base of fluent players of untranslated games on /jp/ or other boards? If there is a larger base on /jp/, would untranslated games become tolerable, or would discussion have to stay in game on 2chan?

1)I like Miku and Vocaloid a lot so I am a little biased in not wanting to see lewd stuff with them.

3)Agree about anime pics

The VN elements definition makes no sense. There are hardly any RPGs that also have fleshed out stories that go beyond dialogue boxes and a few instances of choosing with three mystery doors. Most choices don't even have an impact on a game, they just give you a different item or dialogue line.

>If it's related to /jp/, it can stay. If the genre is accepted on /jp/, it can stay too. Visual novels are accepted, shooter games mostly not, with the exception of touhou and CAVE. Ar Tonelico, Sakura Taisen etc. are borderline cases and can go to either board. Zelda has nothing to do with visual novels, and goes to the video game boards. That goes for all video games without VN elements.

It was basically an attempt to retroactively apply a reason to allow threads that have gradually been forced here, even in lieu of a more appropriate board popping up. A few Tales games have "VN elements" like AT, for example, and the mod made the mistake of thinking GUST threads were "Ar tonelico threads". I mean, Square made a visual novel (and a pretty good one, at that) and Enix made eroge, but Square(/)Enix threads obviously wouldn't fly.

But whatever. It's just about irrelevant now.

This. It's why I hate slow boards. 4-ch is a good example. It's not astoundingly high quality, but I still feel there's some pressure to be witty or interesting. Here I can just type words and hit "Submit".

That's a terrible thing to hope for. He's a fellow /jp/ poster and friend.

Nice work anons, shout to the janitor for keeping this on-topic thread up in the front page and only deleting off-topic posts. Everyone, keep up the good work.

Is this a new meme? Are you doing this now instead of that pasta you posted in almost every thread?

I hate filtering stuff. In fact, Even if I do use filters, I generally open every filtered post to check if I'm not missing something.
The fact that this guy is forcing me to employ filters in so many threads right now is really disturbing for me. I don't care how he fares, I want him GONE.
