Killing words, definitions honed by context, their cachet carefully maintained by the best posters in the English-speaking world, hell, the best people on the internet. "Shitposting" is one such word. A sanction that could destroy a person's posting career, their very identity. "Shitposting" in its TRUE definition means literally whatever we, the elite, decide we don't like.

Then the invasion began. Blogger, Youtube, Tumblr. This torrent of FILTH, unruleable, ungovernable, came in too hard and fast for anyone to possibly manage. That flood of fucking amateurs cratered the value of the written word and turned the internet into a place where people could do whatever, without fear of any consequences what-so-fucking-ever. The internet went from a place for computer scientists and intellectuals to a freak show overnight and broke my fucking heart. For the worst offender of them all, though, I hold a special hatred: fucking 4chan, copied from the worst country on the planet. How the hell are you supposed to shame someone when you don't even know their name?

What this means is that, unless you are a registered SA forum member with full account privileges and a low user number, you DO NOT GET TO USE THAT FUCKING WORD. You are BANNED from that word. It is NOT YOURS. "Shitposting" is dead now. But mark my words, it's coming back. We're not staying down forever, and we've already won certain key victories. A reckoning is coming. Be afraid.

Honestly, moderation on 4chan is a joke. Moot hasn't even tried to keep up with the demand for more moderation as the site has grown, we still don't even have a mod for every board. Either increase moderation, or implement forced registration at the cost of a few bucks. The site can still be entirely anonymous for the end user, but bans would actually fucking mean something.
