So while Shiki is unmistakably fucked up, he's not decidedly dead.

Shiki sees the point of death over his heart which symbolizes Roa's and his fused existence. He stabs it. Fucked up dream sequence in a world between death follows. His younger half, which seems to be the more knowledgeable part of Nanaya Shiki, asks if he wants to dwell between life and death forever. Shiki declines. Nanaya says he will probably die if he wakes up, but lets him go.

He wakes up to find Ciel crying for him.

Arc tries to steal Shiki away, but Shiki rationally turns her down by stabbing her in the neck, which makes Arc go sort of yandere.

Ciel and Shiki then hightail it to the school, and Shiki htis the point of Gaia or something like that that lets him slice Arc into kibbles and bits. Arc leaves for her castle in the sky, but Shiki Are Fatally Wounded. Because he falls into a coma, though, he's goes "oh, lol, Roa dot" and stabs himself.

Suddenly, the last episode of Evangelion.

And then Shiki wakes up and Ciel is there, and everything is alright, and the two of them ditch school. For shame, Shiki. For shaaaaaaame!

It was a special Story in Kagetsu Tohya. Basically Everyone (bsides Roa) plays a big game of Tag with Kohaku being it think of it as zombie tag, where if one person is tagged they can tag others to join them. It is funny as heck.

Ahh, alright. Since if you play the routes in the recommended order (arc, ciel, akiha, hisui, kohaku) you don't get to actually see SHIKI until after you finish Ciel.

It's likely that Ciel, who already was watching the fight, swooped in and grabbed his body and took it to the church. You know, Shiki didn't know much about Akiha's life helping him - he probably just cut off the support, like an earlier anon suggested, and returned her life. He probably went unconscious because he just lost a big part of what he had been using to live, but who knows?

Here's the way I look at it:

Way back when, SHIKI killed Shiki. To save him, Akiha shared her life with him; to save himself from dying at Makhinsa's hands, SHIKI stole some of that from SHIKI. Basically, this means that by the start Tsukihime, Shiki, Akiha and SHIKI are sharing the equivilent of two lives- Akiha gives Shiki a portion of hers so he can live, and SHIKI leeches off of that.

In Akiha's ending, she kills SHIKI, thus absorbing his life-- and Roa. This makes her crazy. Shiki sacrifices himself to return his borrowed life to Akiha, which allows her to overpower Roa and return to normal.

However, Shiki's not entirely in control of his own life force, since most of it isn't his in the first place-- remember how Satsuki's vampirism didn't effect him in Akiha's path? She couldn't take over his life because it wasn't his in the first place. So even though he "killed" himself, as long as Akiha didn't sever the link she created he still gets life force. So once Akiha became stable again, she began feeding him life force again, until he was able to wake up-- and now, with SHIKI gone, they each get the equivalent of one person's life.

TL;DR Shiki doesn't die when he is killed

Akiha DOES NOT absorb Roa just by killing SHIKI. In Akiha's route, she was forcefully reversed by SHIKI, that's why she ends up broken. She did kill SHIKI afterwards, but without using her demon ability, and the damage was done already anyways. Shiki had to sacrifice himself to return Akiha's lost lifeforce and thus turn her newfound "vampirism" obsolete.

In Kohaku's route, however, Akiha used her demon ability to ABSORB all of SHIKI's life force, but she used her power on him to such a extent that she ended up absorbing Roa in the process.

Here's what happened in the past:
SHIKI inverted, attacked Akiha. Shiki defended Akiha from SHIKI, almost dies in the process.
Makihisa tries to kill SHIKI, fails because SHIKI steals Shiki's life force.
Akiha doesn't want Shiki to die, so she gives him half her life force.

In the Near Side routes, Shiki kills SHIKI/Roa, which causes his own life force to return to him. Dunno if Akiha still funnels him life after this; if she does, he'd probably end up pretty damn strong.

He is not directly mentioned, yes, but you can infer what happened from the dream you head (SHIKI's death), her behavior, and the fact that they _explicitly_ say that Akiha caught some kind of evil spirit back when she absorbed SHIKI (she becomes able to supress it anyways).
