You guys are fools. I can't call this place home anymore. It's just a shithole I come and visit. /v/ is freaking better than this. I mean this is 4chan of all places, it's only gotten more normalfag all around.

When you go on v, they still talk about video games and what's good/bad (but now the opinions are biased and shitty and its full of a lot of people who are just 7th gen gamers ie, have no taste).

The issue is and it's been said, jp has no defined things to go by or discuss. There was a pseudo-culture here, but some people were divided and never went out of their threads really (like the idol threads who just take refuge here).

We're never going to go back, all old jp left. New jp will just be posers even if it looks good.

/a/ is horrible and the shittiest hole of all of 4chan. the users should have their skin burned over a hot stove, and their loved ones raped.

/a/ is terrible and only serves (SERVED since there's so much shit now, more-so) as a buffer for shitty anime like K-on and junk (which scarily is posted here). Most don't even know what Ashita no Joe, Captain Harlock (the original 72 epic), or Le Petite Cosette (one of Yuki Kajiura's best OST works, and amazing aesthetics) is.

I may dislike /a/, but the fact that they discuss specific anime that you don't like doesn't make them a shitty board. What makes them a bad board, at least for me, is the fact that they fucking hate everything, any anime that you post you will be flamed. It's retarded. But they are just as elitist as /jp/, redirecting every person that posts an emoticon or any kind of unacceptable behaviour to other boards or Reddit. I go there once in a while for the im@s threads since those are good threads. But anyway, there are much, much worse boards, such as /v/, /b/, /r9k/ and /sp/.

>> No.9520746

https://fuuka.warosu.org/jp/thread/S6021

remember the good old days? ;_;

>> No.9520763

There was shunning of normalfag behavior. Not encouraging being a fucktard like some /a/ posters (not all probably), and just generally memespouting. But this extends to people in real life--just simply not acting like a retard, being level-headed and educated, but also feeling that society was a rat race and people in it were bound by petty human constructs of "right" and "wrong".

Ultimately there was parody of things like that, but jp was really 'Escapism Culture'. Things that got mainstream from here (like Yume Nikki) just got talked about less and less as they spread to other boards (crossboard scum).

>oh its popular so lets not talk about it anymore
No. If you keep talking about it, think of it like this:
It's night out.
When you go for a nice walk at night outside, you turn the porch light on before you leave.
During the walk, everything's nice. Sometimes bugs bite you (shitposters) and there's misquitos (lots of shitposting) but it's still a nice walk, and there's no one around, and it's quiet and peaceful.
Then, you get back, go inside the house, and turn the light off. You realize, oh my god: all these bugs (shitposters) have entered my house. I should have stopped turning my light on (making those threads). The more you make them, the more the bugs know that the thread will be made at that location (light turned on) every night, and so they make this a frequent stop.

Considering the frequency of posts berating present day /jp/, many poster seem to hearken back to those days.

I suggest /jp/ have forced tripcode and all of us could massage eachother's pseudo-identities and cause pointless drama. We could all be little personalities on the internet just like the good old days.

Not.
