Is it possible to to learn 2 languages at the same time /jp/?I want to learn Japanese and Korean (I like Manhwa and Male Idol) but I am afraid of starting this and it ends up being a waste of time.Have any of you tried learning multiple languages?

To answer your OP question yes you can learn two languages at the same time. But you can't learn one if you have no self discipline which is actually quite easy once you start, you just have to unintuitively force it the first few times.

Korean alphabet, no matter how cryptic visually, is at least logical in terms of language and vocals, which is most important in a written language since the relation between visual and verbal is the key to a good language. Of course, this has nothing to do with how successful the language is, since that's cultural due to invasions and shit.

The two languages you're learning kind of clash a lot.

The only two asian languages I'd advise learning together are Chinese and Japanese. Learning Chinese will make kanji seem piss-easy due to the sheer volume of characters you'll have to process. The pronunciation systems of Chinese and Japanese are far closer than Korean, too. What's more, learning Japanese and Chinese will allow you to become familiar with both traditional and simplified Chinese characters, and most of China uses simplified while most of Japan uses the traditional forms.

Korean is very easy to learn in comparison to both of them, but it'll probably impinge on your Japanese study if you try to learn them both at the same time. I'd say learn Korean as a first step before you try your hand at Japanese or don't bother, because Korean is a fucking poinless language and, let's face it, you're probably not motivated enough if you have to ask a bunch of unmotivated losers yourself.
