Why does everyone hate it when people monetize their content? He didn't introduce ads or a premium service or anything like that. He made a book to try and generate income, based on what he enjoys doing and what other people enjoy him doing. Publishing a book is a pretty respectable thing to do, he isn't "selling out" or "being a Jew". Keep in mind he used to work as a programmer for a telesales company.
