All was fine with Homestuck for its first 4 acts.
It had readers, and it was a quaint like OELVN in ``live'' update on the web.
Then ACT 5 Alternia happened and it somehow attracted the cancerous shipping faggots the likes of which are rivaled only by Axis Powers Hetalia.
Homestuck used to have readers, now it has a ``fandom'' filled with assholes.

Make some extrapolation to /jp/ and you can find some comparable things.
