``conventions''

>> No.9451733

I don't understand the point of a convention. The Internet exists. Why would I pay hundreds of bucks in tickets and travel fare to talk to others who share my hobby?

How hard is it to capitalize the first letter of a sentence?

Something so easy, that prevents you from looking retarded.

Why do you have to put each sentence in separate paragraphs? Wouldn't it make more sense just to put each sentence in one paragraph until your idea changes?

Tumblr. Sage.

No.

In fact, even moot has been incredibly vocal about his distaste for cons and the people that attend them.

Then again, he also frequents /fit/ these days

Yeah, 4chan at Otakon 2006 is what started the ball rolling for /b/ and 4chan becoming mainstream. I was there and there were a lot of wannabe /b/ kids causing trouble and 'trolling' which made all the edgy teenagers jump on board.

Cons are good though, it's normally the /a/ faggots who go on about weaboos and stuff because they weren't old enough when cons didn't have all the narutards and shit. I work at a few cons along with some other people who have hung around for a long time and we're the people who publishers talk to when they want a fan opinion on licensing anime DVDs and stuff. We're one of the sole reasons for MangaGamer starting (but we're not taking responsibility for the shitty direction they went in). It's more like a casual business meeting for me, only I don't make any money and don't have to wear a suit.
