Let's see where a tea thread takes us. Q&A by Non-Directional !LaserEWICA: http://pastebin.com/TCYHG7aX

Have you gotten any tea recently? Any you would like to try? Is there a style or type that you like to drink around this time of year? Let's have a friendly discussion about tea in this thread, please!

As for me, iced oolong is enjoyed during summer.

Theres a lovely tea shop where I used to live. Not an eastern place, but it was still great.

I can't drink hot tea with sugar, milk, or honey unless it's chai, but I can't drink iced tea without a ton of all that stuff. I also can't stand blueberry tea. My favorite flavor is black tea (both iced and hot)

where can I buy some quality japanese tea? I usually just get tea from kroger.

Just finished some chai with milk+honey. Feels good man.

Can't make it legit though, I just heat up some water in a microwave. Not sure if that affects the taste or not.

Drinking Earl Grey while watching Marimite is making this quite an enjoyable summer. I only wish I had mugicha to go along with the record breaking heat...

Mugicha is really nice hot or cold. A bit nicer when it's chilled, to me.

You could look at an asian grocer or perhaps a few places online. The FAQ lists a few sites. Dens has very cheaply priced sampler for first time customers.

>> No.9448231

I would like to try that oolong tea, but insted Ive been drinking the normal earl grey for the most part and ocasionally china green.

I quit coffee the other day, so now I'm looking to join the glorious tea-drinking master race.

I buy teabags from the supermarket. How do I not suck at tea?

>> No.9448247

I have drank oolong tea before in a traditional Japanese restaurant. That shit is disgusting, and made even more disgusting by the fact that they serve it without milk, sugar, or anything to take out the water taste.

Green chai though is awesome, especially if you fill it up with fucking whole milk.

Good, then it makes me no less of an otaku for disliking it.... although I'm pretty sure I was already killed for disliking any and all seafood, especially sashimi.

I don't drink many teas because I don't like hot drinks, and most taste pretty awful cold.
