That game was already difficult without paying cash then impossible when they introduced Toybox Girl and her friends. It became literally 'right click to win' while the small air (forgot her name) was far better than Seraph Crimrose meaning there was absolutely NOTHING you could get for free that held a candle to the cash shit.

To make it worse you needed to GAMBLE for that shit, some people spent over $1000 to get some of them (there are videos of them doing that on Nico and Youtube if you don't believe me).

After that I quit, it was pointless to even try.

Long story short. Avoid it like the plague, unless you're fucking bill gates it will only annoy the shit out of you.

NA version I assume? I've been playing the corean one on and off since '08. I like it a lot more than the other versions since I don't know too much Korean, so I don't really understand what anyone is saying, and the Japanese version has ip blocks that I'm too lazy to bypass all the time. It gets major updates first as well, so that's nice.

Plus, the NA version basically brought all the circlejerks from grand chase, not really interested in that.

It's about the playerbase, yeah.

PvP plays a fairly big part in the game, and there will always be big circlejerks in pvp-oriented games, it's just that GC's ones were really awful, and a lot of them migrated there.

It isn't solely pvp though, and as long as you ignore the arenas or the forums, you shouldn't have too much problem enjoying it.

The only MMO I periodically play is Ultima Online on a free shard. It's not the same thing as in another, custom freeshard I used to play. The pvp was absolutely amazing in that one.

Rift is kind of good too.But I got bored of the end game where fast in Rift

But this are pretty much the only 2 subscription mmos that are worth to play now, maybe Eve but this is a totally different type of mmo.


Best would be for the OP to try the WoW free trail or the GW 2 beta if it didn't end.

But I actually wouldn't recommend to play any mmo if you don't have friends to play with it.Playing with random people can be just awful most of the time.

They really haven't added ANYTHING in the past year which is what surprises me.
I visited my friend yesterday and saw him play, the classes are exactly the same and so is the rest of the game. He's just been playing beta mostly, and I'm sure he's gonna get bored of that before the game comes out. It was down yesterday so I couldn't play though.

It is sad though, I spent pretty much all my teenage years playing that game.

I understand what you mean.
I started WoW at the Molten Core Era and many things changed trough the years some bad some good.I will never forget the feeling when I did step for the first time inside Molten Core with 39 other people.
But its not surprising that they want to keep going with WoW for as long as possible.I mean there is no gaming company that makes games for fun its all a business.

The biggest problem is everyone wants to make the new WoW and no 1 wants to try something totally new, same can be said for the FPS market.
For myself I wouldn't even play WoW at the current state , but I will probably do it because of a few friends to have some fun.

and GW 2 doesn't seem to be nothing totally new for me so I will probably skip it , maybe I had too high expectations but for a no subscription game I think its still worth to check out who has interest
