I dislike that term, but I do have a special place in my life for one specific character. She's been on my mind quite a lot for the past three years or so. Whenever I'm alone somewhere really pretty, I imagine what it'd be like if she were there to share the view with me, or when I'm alone in bed I imagine what it'd be like if she were there cuddling with me. On her birthday and on Valentine's Day I like to make special meals complete with dessert. The whole time I'm doing them she's on my mind, and it makes me feel really warm inside. I was doing this shit long before the 'waifu' meme, it's been almost 10 years.

I remember in the blogosphere when SAL9000 got married to that Love Plus character, every Singaporean/Filipino Danny Choo sheep wanted his own 'waifu'. Unfortunately many of them spent more time looking at pictures of figures than watching anime, so most of them chose Saber, Fate Testarossa, Kagami etc. because they all bought the same figures as Choo which was dumb.

Now the word is in full, common use on 4chan by the faggots on /a/ and shit which I saw coming a mile away so it's natural I don't want anything to do with those people. If I was to post my room or something it'd be pretty obvious, but I haven't resorted to that kind of attention seeking either.

This is going to sound like a joke, but I really can't justify the price of printing nor a photo frame when I consider how horrible my monitor is for editing photos. In the end what I'd be holding in my hands would look nothing like what I see on the screen. At the moment I just don't have the money. The way I see all this is just like /b/ circa 2006-2008

Anime News Network isn't actually that bad but you have to check their sources aren't shitty 2ch reprint blogs. ANN used to be one in the top 10 most visited English language websites by Japanese.

Go on 2ch, get a sense of what is an isn't bullshit and you'll find most of the stuff aggregated there. Most 'anime news' is gotten from studio blogs, writer blogs, director blogs, twitter feeds, streams from events on nicodouga...you should just go straight to the sources themselves if you want the most accuracy.
