Here's what I think, actual touhou and VNs discussion with your token otaku related thread do happen often, but there's very little content to post in them so it's about as slow as /bun/ or any other otaku forum for that matter.

Anime and shitposters are plentyful so it looks like the board is in a constant raid.
Look at the Byakuren imagedump thread we had earlier, there's at least 40 posts of actual good discussion. As long as the janitor don't fuck with those threads I'm fine.
