Janitors can't decide policies
If they delete every single off-topic thread we have people sperging over the board missing half of the pages. If they delete only the most off-topic stuff, you have people spamming the borderline threads because they weren't deleted. If they delete only the worst worst stuff, it will be the same as the 2011 janitor who did almost absolutely nothing to the board. In the end there is no solution, except a native mod or moot's intervention.

What do you propose for the janitors to do? To not delete the shitposters' spam in fear of the retaliation they bring? To allow fun threads that are nothing but the same repeated bullshit that only a dozen spammers find funny?

There are no solutions. We have no moderation, we go back to 2011. We get constant janitors, we go back to 2010 wars of attrition. Time to move on, they earned this board, shitposting is culture and we are not wanted.

The best way to stop shitposting dead in it's tracks? Bans. Something I think /jp/ lacks severely.

The way I see it deleting threads and posts doesn't carry a heavy message for shitposters. Delete one thread? They will just make another, another and another.

You are an idiot if you think bans mean something. Only few of us have static IPs. And bans can only work on subhuman tripusers, like Sparky: whenever he posts everybody knows it's him and immediately reports him.
