The indians live inside of the Grand Canyon. They kill anyone who tries to enter. It is their last empire inside of America. The army cannot stop them because the gold was cursed and it made them invincible, so they quarantined the Canyon.

People hike down in there all the time. It's actually a problem, since they're all collectively causing erosion, and the parks service or whatever has to limit it.

Also, Charlie Manson's hidden city was supposedly under a part of death valley, which is elsewhere. And is kinda scenic, though it is hot.

All of the best treasure lives in Antarctica

In a time long before any of our known history there lived an ancient species that has been lost to time. In those years Antarctica was a lush continent and its people constructed cities and has technology that is thousands of years more advanced than our own.

Once they had become powerful enough to travel the stars they attracted the attention of the far more advanced and ancient spacefaring species. They slaughtered our ancient earth ancestors and then detonated thousands of bombs on our planet, covering the entire planet in a nuclear winter.

After millions of years our planet recovered, but the earth shifted, the climate changed, Antarctica froze, but our continents rose up from the sea and eventually became what they are today.

The true secrets of the earth and the key to our future lies under the ice.

>> No.9347554

>>9347490
Sand comes from larger rocks. Water gets in the cracks between rocks, and freezes. This causes the water to expand, and breaks off part of the rock.
Ocean and river currents can also create sand, when larger rocks being propelled by the current strike each other, or boulders submerged in the bottom, etc.
The reason sand isn't all jagged is because the edges of the broken rock get worn down as they rub against one another.
Desserts expand because it is easy for the nutrients and soil on the ground to become dust particulates and lost in strong winds, which also blow sand over the area, and so the dessert "grows".
It's more difficult to stop the encroach of desserts, because the main way to reduce erosion of soil is to have plants with roots hold it down, and act as a wind barrier. But the plants won't just grow in sand, they have to have enough soil to stand a chance. It takes decades to reclaim dessertified areas.

Why don't we colonize the Atlantic ocean? It's under the sea.

Our continents were under the sea when Antarctica was above the water.

>More than 170 million years ago, Antarctica was part of the supercontinent Gondwana. Over time, Gondwana gradually broke apart and Antarctica as we know it today was formed around 25 million years ago. Antarctica was not always cold, dry and covered in ice sheets. At a number of points in its long history it was farther north, experienced a tropical or temperate climate, was covered in forests, and inhabited by various ancient life-forms.

Why bother colonizing a wasteland when you can just travel to a new planet with far better resources?

Population issues were not a problem for ancient civilizations. Look at our civilizations as an example. The most intelligent cultures have the least amount of children and are even in risk of being outbred by more primitive cultures. The ancient ones were extremely intelligent and so overpopulation was never a problem for them and they had no need to force colonization of desolate wastelands when they could just travel the stars.

You're all wrong. Humanity is the creation of alien intervention.

Our evolution has always been guided by aliens who have an interest in uplifting humanity. They taught us how to grow crops, they taught us how to construct buildings and how to use tools. The few relics that are left have been taken by the jews and are locked away in the hidden vault-like cities underneath the temples of Jerusalem.

The Ark of the Covenant was actually an alien relic that the jews used to slaughter their enemies. The descriptions of the Ark describe it as being able to obliterate entire cities and blind anyone who even looked in its direction. It was essentially a very compact and advanced nuclear weapon.

Shambhala is the only ancient city that we should bother looking for.

It's the source of all happiness and peace. Deep under the mountains of Tibet is a hidden city where the ancients still reside. Only a fraction of their wisdom has ever escaped the walls of Shambhala and the result of this was Buddhism.

Imagine what wisdom we could unlock if we mounted a /jp/ excursion to Tibet and searched for the entrance to Shambhala.

Why are asian people so intelligent? Why are asian people the only race in the entire world that have eyes that look like that?

Several hundred thousand years ago an ancient race of aliens found our planet while exploring and they looked at the women of our world. They looked to Africa and they saw dark skinned beastmen, they looked to our deserts and they saw savages slaughtering each other by the thousands, they looked to the colder climate of the northern lands and they saw a pale people covered in hair, but then they looked to the east and they saw a proud and intelligent race. This race had petite and beautiful women and they were far less violent than the other groups of humans. They were also the only group that regularly bathed.

The aliens chose this group and they mated with them. Their offspring inherited the advanced intelligence, unique and beautiful eyelids, and a love for creating magnificent works of art.

A wise man walks into a village of savages. He offers them guidance, he tries to explain to them how to better their lives and how to live a life filled with peace and happiness. The savages surround him and beat him to death with clubs.

Wisdom alone cannot protect you from a brute force attack by primitive bullies. You can even clearly see this in the first encounters between westerners and the people of the orient.

The westerners were technologically advanced, but their advancement was fueled by bloodlust and savagery. Their love for finding new ways to slaughter their neighbor accelerated their growth. The Japanese were a peaceful and serene people who could not even fathom the minds of the savage and filthy western barbarians that encroached upon their shores, but even angels can be tempted by the fruits of evil and the Japanese succumbed.

They allowed themselves to be westernized. They threw away their art and their peaceful way of life, all of the gifts of the ancients, and they exchanged it for the rifle, the suit, and the canon. They became barbarians.

This story does have a happy ending though. Ironically it was the barbarism of the westerners that ultimately saved Japan.

The Japanese people had been infected with the bloodlust and they began to commit many atrocities. Eventually the barbarians bombed them into submission during World War 2 and it would seem like this would be the end of the story for Japan, but the Japanese people rose out of the flames of Hiroshima and Nagasaki like a phoenix in its rebirth.

Under the conditions of the treaty the barbarians crippled their military, they disallowed them ever creating anything more than a defensive army, and they stationed their own western military force on their land, but this adversity was actually the key to their salvation.

The bloodlust that the westerners had infected them with was now sated and they quickly returned to the ways of the ancients. Intelligence thrived in this newly formed Japan, cities of great wealth and prosperity formed in only a matter of decades, and Japan grew to become a nation filled with some of the most intelligent scientists and intellectuals that the world has ever known. They are now a nation of peace that strives for intellectual advancement rather than advancement through bloodshed.

Westerns have no understanding of peaceful living though. Their minds are filled with turmoil and stress. They don't practice meditation and even their religious beliefs have died and are only observed out of some residual sense of cultural obligation to maybe go to church at Christmas or funerals.

They have no way to bring peace to their minds because they try to find peace and happiness through acquiring expensive objects rather than looking inside of themselves. The only notable group of westerners that are at peace are devout monks, but these people are very rare.
