I think it's just a variation on a traditional Chinese hairstyle so it can be done.

And from what I heard, yes, Seiga hair style is mainly based on a traditional Chinese hair style, and for some reason seems to be a hard one to pull off...

Anyone ever noticed that there have been little to none Seiga cosplay out there?

One of the people at our local bakery did something similar to >>9290722 but up and then down through the hair tie, instead of back around, if that makes sense. Also with shorter hair, so it didn't look like Mickey Mouse ears.

Being whimsical seems to be Seiga's forte, but I still feel like there's something odd about the whole thing.

First she offers Miko the immortality and helps pursuade Miko to use Buddhism to bring peace and to pacify the people of Japan following the war against the two rivaling clans.

But in the end even after all of this, it all backfired while Miko underwent her eternal sleep thus being sealed away by Buddhist till being Gensokyo'd. (and somehow Seiga decided to be within or around the Masoleum at the time this happens)

Then following Miko's resurrection, she disbanded and starts running around Gensokyo on her own (This alone makes her a lot different from most Touhou character that usually have connections with groups)

Then she poses as Santa Claus, steals valuables and gives toys in exchange (lol what) while people are asleep.

And now we have the Shinigami and Kishin trying to hunt her down (and she managing to escape them)

There's something really strange about her, I know some people say she probably doesn't really have a care in the world, or that she just simply views life as a little game to her. But I still question if there's a reason behind all this. (Yes, I'm probably thinking too deep)

I want to pry deeper into the hermit's mind. But I don't know if there's much more to it or not. I personally wonder if Seiga will be touched on more in the following chapters of WaHH. I get the impression she just might..

Probably because not many were uploaded. Reitaisai this year showed that there was good amount of Seiga x Yoshika and Seiga x Kasen Doujins that came out.
