How do you stay frosty with that computer in your room? Doesn't it produce a lot of heat? I'm already in the basement but my room averages 25 degrees Celsius.

If you keep your door shut all the time, there's no way for the heat to escape.

my computer constantly overheats, gotta buy myself additional fan
and by new fan I mean new fan
normal standing fan that I will put next to opened up pc, hoping it helps
since I can't afford these pc-integrated fans

Air conditioning mostly. At night I open the window because it's slightly cooler outside most nights. Tonight is pretty nice outside. Although few nights ago it was particularly warm and my room got to 32C and so I decided to close the window and turn on the AC. I keep the AC off at night so that when I go to sleep I get a bunch of cold air in my room.

Air conditioning would be nice. I always wanted to buy one of those portable units but I don't know how effective they actually are.

Portable? Like a window unit? They're very effective, depending on the size of your room and the size of the unit, of course. I had one for my room a few years ago and I loved that thing.

I can live with some heat now, which is why I didn't get another when I switched rooms.

It's actually because I never closed the curtains entirely. I did it earlier today and now it's cool as HELL in my room.

Unless I'm gayman, my CPU and GPU idle at low frequencies, producing minimal amounts of heat (total power consumption under 100W).

In any case, I've got a 24K BTU Toyotomi DC-Inverter split-type A/C.

I'm in the basement and the only real warm place is right next to my computer

Because the thermostat is upstairs and it's usually hot there cold air just keeps blowing and makes the basement a refrigerator

Jesus Lord I am so hot there has been someone in the hallway all afternoon so I can't open the door and one of my blinds is broken so I can't shut it and I tried hanging a blanket over it but it doesn't seem to be helping and I want to go take a cold shower but that person is still there talking and talking and talking to God knows who in God knows what language please someone and I don't even have any water and I am so thirsty not to mention I have to pee but peeing in my mouth would be disgusting so I'm going to have to pee in my garbage can but the person outside my room will hear so I'll have to put a towel in my garbage can first but I don't think I'll be able to use that towel again even if I wash it and I need it to wipe the sweat off my face because it's so hot and I can't breath.
