If I don't apply for universities in the next 150 mintes, I'm in for yet another year of being a NEET.

Why don't I feel the slightest urgency? What's wrong with me?

>> No.9267441

Hey me. I even have college completely for free too.

Seriously? What the fuck do you have to lose then, other than some free time?

Do you live in Sweden or something?

America, I can't imagine the stress of being around that many people.

>yet another year

If you're not just exaggerating to look cool, and a few years HAVE passed, chances are you're too old for university.

Sure, you CAN go to university if you're 25 or whatever, but don't expect to fit in.

>> No.9267489

>>9267478

Did you go to public school? Most colleges are pretty much the same thing except with on-campus living. You don't have to socialize with anyone.

>>9267475
Gee, I'm sure I would fit in just fine if I were the normal age.

>> No.9267500

>>9267489
Well I'm 23, I won't fit in and cause social situations to arise. I live in a small town too so everyone in the college will be fresh out of high school.

I had a few 25-28 year old classmates and they fit in just fine.

>> No.9267512

Oh yeah, today is the last day to apply to UCAS. Maybe I should submit an application.

a /jp/er wouldn't fit anyway

Who cares about going to university to fit in?

I'm 22 and going to apply to universities next year too, so I'll be going at 23
The only thing that really concerns is that employers would look down on that.

>> No.9267537

>>9267531
I've been thinking about that too.
I'll just make up some sob story about an ill parent or something that forced me to stay at home and/or work a year or two.

>>9267437
Let me guess, your parents will let you live with them no matter how lazy you are. There is literally no reason for you to try.

There are at least as many students outside the 18-22 range as there are within it, at least in my experience.

I'm 24 myself and don't really have any problem fitting in with anyone from my classes, aside from usual social phobias that would impact me regardless of who I was talking to. It might help that I don't talk about jacking off to touhou and pissing in bottles though.

This is all so confusing. I used to be decent in computer sciences and programmed a little, so I'm looking for that sort of shit but there are like a bazillion different things that all sound the same.

What's the difference between 'applied computer sciene', 'computational sciene' or plain 'computer sciene'?

It seems like you haven't found that subject that you want to study passionately. No sense applying to uni only to find out a month in that you it's not what you want to study.

If you don't apply, at least you won't do something you don't want to and as a result drop out, OP. And then because of your shitty country you aren't allowed to study at a public university again. And this wouldn't have happened if your parents didn't vehemently say that taking a year off is out of the question. See what fucking happens? Fuck.

DON'T TAKE SOMETHING SHIT LIKE HISTORY OR ENGLISH OR SOCIOLOGY, YOU ARE JUST WASTING YOUR TIME.

IF YOU JUST WANT A DECENT PAYING JOB, GO TO A TRADE SCHOOL

UNIVERSITY IS OVER-HYPED AND PEOPLE PUT OUT SHIT MAJORS LIKE AFRICAN STUDIES BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL TAKE IT AND WILL GIVE THEM MONEY FOR LITTLE INVESTMENT IN SUCH A SHIT PROGRAM.

Yeah but that's just giving advice, even if it's based on personal experience.

Projection is a defense mechanism where you attribute your own thoughts and feelings to others. Like hating someone but feeling guilty about it, so you decide it's them who hates you.

Implying I give a fuck about them. The severity of a problem also has a degree of relativity. What you call insignificant issues compared to 3rd world shitholes are more relevant problems in a cushy 1st world context.
