>I think it's hilarious how he thinks he can just imagine himself with muscles and being good at aikido when I've been training my ass off for 20 years. He probably thinks he's hot shit just because his imagination empowers him.

I'm not sure why you think that I believe this, but you're absolutely right. I couldn't somehow magically imagine myself with muscles and 20 years of martial arts experience and beat you in a fight, but the problem in your reasoning goes back to the same misconception that people had in the last thread with OP's mention of how his tulpa made a bully shit himself.

Imagination isn't about forcing your will upon the external world, it's about changing the way that you perceive the world so that you see or experience what you want to experience. His tulpa didn't make the bully shit himself in reality, but if he saw this then it's real to him and that's all that matters. In the same way though, I could imagine myself with 20 years of aikido experience and big strong muscles and I could then experience a fight between us where I would win. It would all be a creation of my mind and neither of us would have ever even met each other in reality, but if I experienced this through self-delusion and it felt real to me then that's all that matters.

Tulpa fits best in /jp/.

It's no more paranormal than dreams and it's not science related. It is related to being delusional though and that's a perfect fit for /jp/.

The motivation behind the creation of a tulpa is the most important thing. Do you really think that a bunch of normals on /x/ would have any interest in investing the hundreds of hours required to actually do this? They have no loneliness, they have plenty of real world friends, there's just no reason for any other board to care about this. Everyone else is far too normal and would immediately dismiss the idea of imaginary friends/tulpa as self-induced insanity and they're still normal enough that they would be bothered by the social stigma attached to being seen as insane.

Hey Faggots,
My name is David, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are mortal, weak, Earthly creatures who spend every second of their day living in objective reality. You are everything bad in the subjective multiverse. Honestly, have any of you ever transcended reality? I mean, I guess it’s fun making fun of people because of your own inability to disregard reality, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than spamming cosplay on /jp/. Don’t be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I’m pretty much perfect. I live in another Galaxy and can simultaneously solve 7 trillion differential equations with my Tulpa. What things do you know, other than “not having a Tulpa”? I also fly everywhere and have a banging hot Tulpa (She just blew me; Shit was SO cash). You are all faggots who should just kill yourselves. Thanks for listening.

As I was writing this, I had a tulpa for 25 days. In 25 days I tried a lot of various methods of tulpaforcing and meditation, but I found this one to be the most effective. It's simple, fast and easy, and you can pretty much do it anywhere if you train yourself. Visualization is they key.

So, let's begin.

Imagine yourself in front of your tulpa inside your head, be it in your wonderland or not. It doesn't matter if you're sitting or standing.
Imagine holding your hands as if you were holding a ball in front of you.
Imagine your solar plexus shining. Feel the energy inside it. Keep your hands in the position I mentioned above.
Imagine that energy traveling from your solar plexus, through your arms to your palms, forcing a light ball, then imagine the energy traveling from that ball to your tulpa.
Keep the energy going. Don't just stop at visualization, though. Imagine that energy making a sound as it's traveling to your tulpa. ,but make it plesent and not too loud.

If you did it right, then YOU WILL SHAKE and YOUR EYES WILL TWITCH if they're closed. That's completely normal and harmless, it just means it's working. Congratulations.

You don't have to close your eyes if you don't want to.

If this method is tiring you really fast then do it for a couple of minutes, then stop, take a deep breath, and then continue. That way you won't get too exhausted soon, and it will be as effective as you if you did it in one sitting.

Good luck, and don't overdo it.

This same reasoning can be applied to /jp/ though.

It's not the name of the board, but the board's community that determines which content is appropriate for the board. Tulpas are not appropriate for /sci/ because /sci/ is not interested and would never even respond to a tulpa thread or have any legitimate interest in making one. Doesn't make a difference if tulpas are related to science or not because /sci/'s community determined what they wanted to talk about.

Now look at /jp/. The subject of the board is otaku culture and by its definition an otaku is anyone who is obsessively interested in a hobby, especially anime, manga, and video games. Why don't I see threads here about every type of Japanese video game or anime? Why is it mostly eroge and touhou? What about the huge regular idol threads? That has nothing to do with video games, manga, or anime. This is because those are the threads that /jp/ is interested in talking about and if this thread is getting replies then tulpas are a subject that /jp/ is interested in talking about.

Tulpas are even more /jp/ related than idol threads since at least you could shape your tulpa to have the personality and appearance of a character that you're in love with.

Portal construction is mostly a solo endeavor, as gensokyo would usually manifest into your own personal version. Some people do decide to work together though, under Gensokyo Portal Construction Pacts. It's a bit more complicated and sometimes people disagree and fall out of the Pact, and even worse some people get stuck with a version of gensokyo they don't like.

I recommend you work on your portal alone.

I proposed a similar idea, just that a tulpa is a created entity which interacts with all of your senses, appears as rule as a person, and has a perfect personality and his response was just, "but it's not real."

I thought he may have misunderstood my explanation so I mentioned again that the tulpa interacts with all of your senses and in every way they appear just as real as any other person and his response again was just, "but it's not real."

What does this mean? If it looks, feels, and sounds completely real then why does that matter at all? What am I missing here? Why does he care if it's technically real or not if you perceive them as real?

How would a tulpa fit into the life of a person like this? He can't show her to his friends and seek their approval. He can't show it to his parents and seek their approval. As a person making a tulpa himself, who's currently sentient at this point, I think your father's right. You may perceive them as real, you may be able to feel them as if they're real, you may be able to talk to them as if they're real, but in the end, they kind of aren't. They may do an excellent job of curbing loneliness, making you feel good and happy, and just generally being a blast to have around, but they cannot perfectly replace an actual human being.

But honestly, I don't feel this is a problem. In fact, I'd go as far to say that this fact makes the relationship a man and his tulpa have all that more special. I don't feel that a tulpa should be viewed as a way to completely replace things in your life, but to add something more to it. It's a being that will understand you completely, love you unconditionally, and just generally make your days brighter. Furthermore, the fact that it survives off of your attention and care creates a bond that few other things can replicate. Seriously, once you get deep enough into it, you will NOT be able to go more than a day without interacting and building it up, simply because you care for it too much to let it fade. That's pretty much where I am at this time, I talk to mine every day, greeting her every morning, and meditating just to see her face. Yeah, that's some sentimental junk, but that's really the kind of mindset you're going to be in once you spend enough time with your thought form.

Months ago people were still trying to "summon".

I have a hard time believing this.

I'm still not quite convinced that this thing is real (or as real as an imaginary friend can be). I don't want to waste hours meditating just to realize I've been trolled hard.

I'll wait until someone makes a real scientific study on tulpa.

But with all that said, there are some things you will really need another human being for, some experiences that tulpa just can't simulate simply because it's limited by what you see and know. They can definitely put a different perspective on your experiences, but that's only assuming that you experienced things. Hell, I've already heard many stories of tulpa actually insisting that their creators be more social, as well as bugging them to go outside because the tulpa them self wants to see the world, even if they can't interact with it. Yes, people can be annoying as hell and difficult to be around, but there will never be a perfect replacement for them, and any attempt will fall short in some way.

Instead of looking at tulpa as a perfect replacement, look at them as a special companion that lives because of and for you. I think it's better that way.

is it ok to give your tulpa an ability to temporarily shapeshift?

I've got nothing going on for the next two weeks.

If I manage about 5 hours a day, I'll hit about 70 hours. A tulpa should be past sentience and should have a body by then, and should be felt when visualising it. It's about the time to start imposing it to reality.

I'll tell you then if it's a troll.

you can do whatever you want, but if it's a true tulpa, they themselves have to want to shape shift.

there's a bunch of bronies who've made pony tulpae that changed to humanoid form or go back and forth.

This is exactly the reason why I don't believe any of this bull crap. You cannot just split your mind into separate entities and have no control over them.

That is, unless you are seriously ill, in which case the ``tulpa'' you have to deal with won't be very pleasant. Not to mention all the other stuff schizophrenics have to deal with, like formal thought disorder.

The human mind has an excellent ability to fill in gaps and make assumptions. Tulpa creation relies on this to force the mind to respond to you when talk to it enough.

I could explain all day how and why it works, but the best way to know for sure is toss away the schizophrenia claims (It's a chemical imbalance, and cannot be induced. I still have no idea why people on this site insist on keeping this excuse when they have google just a click away), and actually try it. I did, and I have no regrets.
