Imaginary friends are very serious business, but most people don't know that because they give up so quickly. Normals have imaginary friends, but they get real friends and throw away their imaginary friends before they ever had a chance to become real.

The mind is a garden and you can grow many things in it. You must attend to your mind plants or they will wither away and you can water these mind plants with attention. Attention is the water that nourishes the garden inside your mind.

All you have to do is make a friend and talk to them every day. Try to involve them in your daily activities and tell them about the things that make you happy. One day your friend will start to talk to you and maybe one day your mind garden will have become so alive and healthy that you will be able to see them in reality.

Make a friend and talk to them. It's all it takes.

Tulpa is just a fancy word for a finished imaginary friend. Imaginary friends just aren't taken seriously because most people never bothered to help them grow and abandoned their imaginary friends while they were still in their infancy.

Imaginary friends are just like every skill or ability in the world. There are various levels to it. It's like building a house. You put down the foundation, then you build up the frame work, then you do all the other details. Most people only ever make the foundation of an imaginary friend so the general opinion of imaginary friends is that it's just some silly thing that you talk to that never says or does anything.

If people only ever put down the foundation to houses and then gave up then everyone would just think of a concrete slab when they think of a house, but as we all know houses have walls, windows, doors, furniture, roofs, and all sorts of things. Imaginary friends do too.

I don't need friends. I am the lone wolf. The final warrior. The nomad who wanders the wasteland of this life.

>> No.9206065

can you actually hear imaginary friends?

I got my friend Arnold. He's the best, hes amazing at 2hu and he doesn't give me weird looks when I'm with my waifu, who some claim to be too young. We pretty much talk about taking it easy and shit we see in my back yard.
Couldn't ask for a better friend.

i often imagine myself talking to a Random Anon.
he doesn't have a face and he never talks back. he just listens to what i have to say.
i'm not sure if counts.

i also tried to create a Miku tulpa but i was too lazy/uncreative and barely made any progress. i think i would actually hate it if i did, i would feel unworthy of her company and it would generally creep me out. i did (before that) a lot of weird ronery stuff that could count as "imaginary Miku friend" though, but it never included her talking back to me so it was always very one-sided.

picture related, i once tried recreating said scene with MMD and a big TV screen so she could look like she's 1/1 scale. that was weird. never managed to create the impression that she's actually on the other side of the "glass", which was my goal.

I talk to myself a lot. Imaginary friends were never really in my realm of possibility.

I had to see a psychologist when I was younger because I "talked to people who weren't there."

I was thinking out loud, everyone does it, and they tried to make it sound like I was completely bonkers. T_T

Not really an imaginary friend, but I do have a made up world in my head where I take up the role of someone else. It's been 5 years now.

Feels really weird actually telling others about this.

Higurashi is a story about Tulpas. Hanyuu is Rika's tulpa, and she believes in her so much that it made her real to everyone else too.

Why haven't you made yours real yet, /jp/? If a depressed little girl can do it, surely you can too!

Dunno, but according to previous threads I've posted about it in, it's because I lack a certain level of loneliness and misery needed for self induced schizophrenia.
