オタク

The term otaku was born 20-odd years ago because young men who were not good at conversation spoke to others saying "Otaku wa ... " (literally meaning "Your house is... ," but also expresses a slightly distant way of saying "you.").
「オタク」という言葉が誕生したのは20数年前で、話下手な若者がほかの人
に話すとき「オタクは…(言葉の意味は「あなたの家」だが、「あなた」
の少し距離を置いた言い方である)」をよく使うことからだといわれる。

Stickling for detail and fond of collecting, their characteristics are similar to the "mania" person (maniac), but the word comes from the fact that they say the words, "Otaku wa..." (And how about you?...) when speaking to others.

An otaku is an obsessive hobbyist and generally, the image of these people is one of socially dysfunctional individuals, gloomy, unkempt and possibly with a Lolita complex.

The appearance and behavior of otaku can sometimes give the impression to people that they are potential sex criminals.

It doesn't matter what you look like, it's the state of mind. It's just that good looking people don't usually end up with the correct state of mind because they don't have to deal with the same shit as ugly people, which is often times what leads to the personality traits associated with being an otaku. This doesn't mean that it's impossible for a good looking person to be an otaku, it's just not as common.

But yeah:
>stop the fighting guise i need a label to use for myself
>lol i'm such a nerd xDD
>Otacool
>geek chic
These kind of people don't count, because they're usually just faggots in it for the attention. This so much. Just as Densha Otoko started getting popular I remember there was a genuine sense of relief that otaku might be facing slightly better treatment in future.

But I don't think anyone expected what happened, it just blew out of control and suddenly everyone within spitting distance of a figure was an "otaku". That's when all the big chain operations started happening too, when merchandise got seriously more mass produced and often from the same companies. Then it hit anime and the rest is history. You have 30 shows every season trying to compete for the highest viewership so they can sell the most DVDs or merchandise that season and push profit margins etc.

I know everything about flamming new people and indoctrinate them in the belief that if they flame others they'll become one of us.

When I get my autism money, I am moving out of the basement of my parents to spend the rest of my life (~10 years) in front of a computer insulting people to bost my ego and reinforcing the idea that /jp/ is a private club where cool people such as Zun!bar and me hang out. I hope I can beat any touhou game and stop being a secondary, meanwhile I mock people for not being able to finish lunatic PCB!

I own several tenga devices and onaholes, which I use around my room. I want to get used to using them before I get my genuine japanese waifu, so I can fit my 5 inch cock in her small pussy easier. >You pay $1000 for some guy who worked 24/7
and $1000 for another guy who was absent the whole year.

I know jack shit about Marxist economics because kapital is too difficult for me, but what you say is fucking dumb. From what I understand, pay is awarded by the usefulness of labor to society.

He's actually right, to a degree. Given a situation of high pressure social norms and low mobility, people will give up property and work for nothing.

Look at early native American societies for an example of this. Cripplingly strict social norms, almost no private property, hard as fuck workers.

>Do you think people still would be willing to work 24/7 to receive the same thing in the end?
Well obviously not, since people who do nothing earn 1000 dollars.
Therefore people will not be willing to work for 1000 dollars or less.
Therefore you increased the overall's standards.

What if people has no choice about that?
Like in, either you accept that, or you stay unemployed and starving. Developed countries already did many things to prevent that, but we know most of those poor countries hailing communism have no money for social insurance.
From my experience, don't matter how low is the pay you offer, if it is enough to survive, someone WILL appear if you live in a country poor enough.

But people who do nothing earn 1000 dollars in our scenario.

>we know most of those poor countries hailing communism have no money for social insurance.
That might be why they are "hailing communism".

>From my experience, don't matter how low is the pay you offer, if it is enough to survive, someone WILL appear if you live in a country poor enough.
Yeah, that's exactly what we call having low standards.

Misunderstandings (about the nature of communism,) misunderstandings everywhere.

Communism is not a system where everybody gets the same amount of stuff, nor is it a situation where you sit on your ass watching anime all day and people pay you for it.

It was Lenin who reiterated that he who does not work shall not eat.
