Did anyone here download Divina? Cleric's been pretty fun so far. It's a bit grindy but nothing horrible at all. I've been pretty addicted to it since it came out, just quietly playing. It doesn't seem like this release is just for North America. I've seen people from the Philippines and Vietnam. No BR, yet. The drill hair seems to have been removed for some reason.

There is, but it's short twintails. In the JP version I'm pretty sure there's a long and short twintail option. It's kind of disappointing. Maybe it's a bug. Still in OB so some things might not be 100% operational.

You can do PvP or crafting, or maybe something with guilds. There's a 'guild turf' option and I think I read about guild vs guild battlegrounds or something like that, but I don't know because I haven't joined a guild. At 10 or 11 you get a sidekick, at level 20 you can pick a specialization (Cleric has light and dark talents) and at 30 you can pick a secondary class. I'm not sure on the details of that. The cap is currently set to 60.

For those wondering, the directory setup between the two versions of the game are identical, so you might be able to swap out voices. The only problem is that voices is just a giant folder with some 1200 files in this version, and a little less in the JP version.

You can also set the game to display no other players if you wish, as well as hiding whichever chat channels you wish.

i just want to play jp but i've seen shit fall because of no structure and turning into faggotry.

another big thread on jp recently was about how people are depressed that they never end up getting into communities, and they never end up fitting in/or they're always closed. without an IRC, and people trying to only communicate in-game, people don't get so close that others might feel left out, and it leaves for discussion to be had in-chat. this sort of 'encourages' chat about things that might be personal, but all of jp would generally be able to hear and give their input if they wanted to.

the other point is to prevent the bad things that come out of a jp guild and/or IRC. if you don't know of these things, you must be new here.

also, any communication outside of the guild/group itself would be held only in jp. if people/players, or me are being fags, they can be called out.

If they're making a group and you want to be in it, just ask. As for me I personally just like playing this game while drinking some tea and listening to music. I always play McCore if I'm playing a guy (or gender neutral). Chloroform I chose for a female character and people got used to it from that robot fighting game because I yelled a lot.

Also, when you're questing, you can double click the item or mob you need for a quest and it will auto-run you to the location. If you double click a person's name in a quest it'll auto-run you to the person.

Your character probably won't transfer, but there was a working english patch for all the menus and quests during the closed beta.

Gameplay wise.. Not sure how to explain it. It didn't feel as dated as PSO's gameplay...obviously it won't feel exactly the same, but nostalgia aside it was fun.

Game is in Japanese, yes. There was a partial English patch for CB but from what I've heard it does not fully work with the current client.
Game is fully playable even in Japanese though, plot is not a big issue and it's easy to get the hang of gameplay and progression. It's just mission after mission, fighting enemies, exploring areas, taking on sudden spawns of boss types on open player maps along with other groups, ect.
There's also a little feature that I really like where if you add someone as a friend and they have registered their character as an NPC companion you can take them along when you do missions. There are also default NPC companions of course, with their own affection levels and such.

Game plays pretty well, you can switch classes freely but they each level individually so you can find one that works for you and use that since the gameplay varies slightly between each class.
Game is coded very well as well, at it's lowest setting it is playable even on older machine, mine is 7 years old and plays it fine on the lowest setting.

I just choose a sub-class. Picked Sorcerer. You keep the buffs between classes, as well as any items you create. As Cleric/Sorc I get to buff myself with INT, CON, and PER, and I get to make Mana Gems. Pretty neat. Since both classes use the same gear, I'm just going to hand my Cleric gear down to the Sorc.

The swap is instant, but limited to three times outside of town before you need to fight to raise points to be able to swap back.

The game may not be perfect, but I definitely like it. Just a nice game to play.

I don't think I'm seeing any actual gear up there aside from one set of armor and one weapon, both for your sidekick. Seems to be stuff to make the game easier, which you already get occasionally through quests. Also some cute clothes, which is understandable because clothes are entirely cosmetic in this game. It's pretty mindless. Really mindless actually. If you open the quest log you can click an item, and your character will run to the location of the item or the mobs that drop it. Then you can click the name of the person you need to return it to, and it'll run you to the person.

If you open your map on the left side there's a list of all the NPCs in the zone, and yet again you can click the NPC and you'll run to it.

You might have to think a bit for where to place your talents.

Oh, and you might have to think for your sidekick 'talks'. Supposedly each sidekick has favorite subjects and you're able to choose one subject every half hour to talk about. Choose the right one and you sidekick's favor will go up towards you. Choose wrong and it'll either stay the same or drop. The sidekick gets better stats the more it favors you. At level 38 I've gotten two items to increase its favor towards you to the limit and keep it there for three days. You don't ever actually have a conversation with the sidekick.

You can have two characters at once, but at level 30 you can pick any class to be your sub-class. The sub-class is basically another character that starts at level 25 which shares a name with your character and can be instantly switched at will. Say you've been leveling as a Knight, once you hit level 30 you pick Cleric as your sub-class. When you press Z, your character will switch to a Cleric with all the skills and empty talents. Pretty sure you can also pick the stats as well.

Depending on the combination of your class and sub-class, later in the game you get a special skill. The only one I know off the top of my head is Assassin/Assassin, which gets a stealth that you're able to attack from for a few seconds.
