What headphones do you use to listen to games and music?

I'm really getting tired of these three year old ipod headphones with one working side

I made the mistake of buying the cheapest ones the store had, at $80 (maybe $50 for non-nazi-customs USA). They sounded excellent when I tested them, and they still do. I found no fault in them, and wondered why people would buy $200+ headphones.
The catch? Hard, cheap plastic is fucking squeaky. Squeak. Creak. Squeeeak. Cre-creak. Squeaksqueak.
Disgusting noisy piece of shit. The actual sound quality is really good, though.

Get one, don't listen to that faggot, you won't regret for sure. I owe one and they have a fairly good soundstage considering it's a closed-can. The details are clear and sharp, there is bass but not bloated. ( very far from being bloated actually)

Just remember to burn them in and it'll be one of your top-tier cans. It didn't receive amounts of praise for nothing anon.

>> No.9135979

Seconding Koss Portapro, as well as suggesting the Koss KSC75 (which use the same driver as the Portapro). They clip over your ears, kind of like glasses do, but not quite. I use them because I wear glasses, and headphones that press them into my head start to hurt after a while, but these work great. They're cheap, portable, and lightweight (they sound great, too).

You might want to throw in just a couple of bucks more to get an mdr-v6. This has been one of the studio and industry standards for years and has been proven to be durable, lasting users for averagely more than 15+ years.

The sound is very excellent, uncolored and clearly detailed. You might want to change the foam to an m50 foam for an improved soundstage and comfortability.

You won't need to buy another headphone if you want to. This will last you forever trust me.

Ordered the Sennheiser HD 650 and the O2 + ODAC combo earlier today.

Currently own the HD 598s.

>>9136142
HD 650 price is inflated as fuck right now. Used ones cost as much as new ones did a year ago. Sennheiser trying to make their HD 700s look good or something. I was able to get a coupon code and get a new one for $370 though. Anyway, if you want comfort you'll probably want to get the DT-880. It's supposed to be more comfortable than the HD 650s and they're in the same tier sound quality-wise. Except because of the inflated as fuck prices I mentioned before, you can get the DT-880s for half the price of the HD 650s at $245 on Amazon. Of course, you'll need and amp for it.
