Well, /jp/, this is it. I'm putting 4chan in my blocklist and I'm leaving forever. Yes, I have the willpower to leave 4chan. And since it became a hopeless pile of fuck, it will be even easier and I don't think I'll miss it.

But I'll miss you guys and my Touhou news.

So, where do you get your Touhou news? How do you know when is every Reitaisai taking place? Where do you read about new Touhou/VN releases?

You'll just take it off the ``blocklist'' and check it every now and then anyway.

Utilizing a blocklist in the first place means you don't have willpower. Willpower is the strength of your continued effort. Having the willpower to leave means you don't need the assistance of some block to stop you from going back. A fat person who removes all food from his house and cripples his access to money or somesuch does not have the willpower to stop eating, because he doesn't trust himself to not eat if he leaves that stuff around. He has these defenses precisely because his willpower is low.

If you mean the latter, well, I remember when /g/ was still good and /a/ was enjoyable. In my opinion, this is the only board worth visiting now, but I realized I'm getting terrible grades at uni and I don't think I can keep up with this, so I decided to leave for good.

Better idea: go a week (or even a month) without posting. No matter how much you want to. Just lurk. Remove userscripts, even. After that, treat every post you make as precious. Perhaps pretend you're paying by the reply. It's like some zen shit, and it will change your 4chan experience for the better.

I removed my userscripts yesterday, but 4chan now is so usable that it's useless.

And this is my first post in weeks. I used to shitpost 5 times a day but now I don't even find what's so appealing about that so I think I'm finally getting tired of 4chan.

I try that now and then but then end up coming back.. It's only when 4chan is down that I realize the true reason I am here is because I have nothing else to do online. Everything I used to love has been hit worse than 4chan.

The best way to avoid is to never go on 4chan to begin with. Say "I will study today" and spend the day studying. Don't even say "Oh, I'll take a break and check 4chan while I snack." Watch TV or something instead.

It's more like a fat man deciding that he's only going to keep uncooked food around so that he has to wait five or ten minutes if he wants to eat something. It doesn't mean he has willpower, but it does mean that he will probably end up eating less since the box of crackers is no longer on the table right there so that he can absent-mindedly munch away without even thinking about it.

Which is why I recommended it over 4chan. He'll get tired of it after eating and go back to focusing on whatever he was focusing on. I don't watch TV either and my CRT-equivalent one is basically a dust covered relic.

I wouldn't unplug my newer TV, though. I need it to play vidya and to display this cute image of milky sluts touching cheeks together slightly to my left.
