I would bet that kimchee is not as high on people's lists of "foods I would not want to try" as things like lutefisk and surströmming.

I'd also rate Chinese preserved eggs higher than kimchee.

(I've tried all of the above. Would not want to eat lutefisk and surströmming again, but everything below that isn't too bad.)
