I'm just glad that the archive exists now. It helped my addiction a lot. In ancient times, you could make a thread on /a/, go to bed, then wake up the next day and check the replies. Even if no one responded, you could still find the empty thread. As post volume increased, it became less likely that your post would survive the night. This meant that if I made a post, I refused to go to bed until I was sure there were no more replies! And I had to stop myself from posting anything after a certain time because of this.

I went their when it first started as a replacement for the then-deleted /r9k/. I never went to /r9k/ or /new/ before, but I couldn't help wanting to see what was going on. I saw how pissy they got about the A-A-Alice bullshit, so I started avatarfagging as Wriggle and wrote a userscript with one of the mods. The theme was to be a polite poster who gave good advice and delivered on all requests, which I did. Then I posted an old chatlog of STI claiming to be a spammer and everyone accused him of being Kimmo Alms.Then, after all that build up, I one day lost interest and just walked away from it and I haven't been their since.

Anyway, it's not really of any importance. The userbase is to small for the mods to resist being faggots, and it's basically /r9k/ and /new/ (who is just as racist as /pol/, but like K-pop groups). Not really anything novel.
