Anybody here played Liar-Soft's Forest? This thing is so confusing I'm fucking lost

What the heck is Padua? Where does those story of the beginning supposed to fit in the story at all? Does the riddle really happen/the forest real or is it all just metaphorical mumbojumbo?

Don't worry, in the end it all comes down to your ability of accepting the fact that there is no definite answer to any of the question you posed, except peharps the nature of the Forest. In return, you have some fucking awesome literary nonsense to enjoy - though you do indeed have to be the type of person that can enjoy this sort of thing, which is not something to take for granted at all. Though i do think the "story of the beginning" fits in the story, kind of.
Actually, i think that everything else kind of fits in too, altough i do admit it's not rationally clear at all in what way anything inside of this mess should function as a part of it (it's "just nonsense" after all), so in the end this matter is subjective too.
That said, I wouldn't consider Forest to be "just nonsense" either (though even if it was, it would be some pretty fucking good nonsense) - at least, I did feel there were various themes explored in the "story", just in a very subtle fashion that could easily make them unnoticeable.
The ending was pretty much the best thing ever written, too. Although it could be also said that it's not much conclusive at all, without necessarily being in the wrong... well, i would say it's a very strong conclusion thematically at least, one that has probably made Forest the best thing i'll ever read in my life, as my taste is concerned.
