Hi friends!
This is witch 2, reporting in from the land of magic!
You may remember me from disasters like Rita Please Respond the VN (check out this sick review studiomugenjohncel.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/ and original thread fuuka.warosu.org/jp/thread/S8963975/)

Not too long ago, this shameless kopipe thread was created

in commemoration of the old /jp/ Manor VN.
This time, more girls were selected to live in this paradise!
The ritual of summoning is in place.
It's not like anyone cares, but a deadline has been set: the 9th of August.
That fateful day, the manor will open its doors, and the extremely short and dissapointing episode 1 will be released.

Right now, the wonderful girls have took shape and the script has already begun.

This is a /jp/ collaboration! feed me back with your hard, fat, huge responses full of love! help is appreciated in most fields, to ease the workload.
This project will not die unless I kill myself first, so please don't lose hope! I might kill myself soon though.
I shall not create more threads until release. This was a reminder to anyone that may be interested, to let them know this is still alive and when to expect it. Hehehehe...

PS: What is this? something in the ritual is not quite right, but I can't put my finger on it...

Go for it! I'd hate to see all of that go to waste. Also, I assume many of the actual /jp/sies would be more interested than the /v/ and /a/ spam we've been hit with lately, so don't feel discouraged! The internet's not known for it's kindness, but there are people who want to hear from you!

Also, I do have a development suggestion depending on how you write stories. I've actually been working on a VN for some time now and learned that, with a large cast, it's not always a good idea to formulate the 'plot' up front or in a sequenced order. It's very difficult to mold the characters to the story, rather than have the story happen as a result of the characters. And, especially with the diversity of the cast involved, it might be easier to think 'what are some events [color x] might be involved in' instead of 'how do I fit [color x] into this event'?
For example, Green would know a lot about dealing with terminally ill people, so she might have scenes around that. There should also be some scenes around her enjoying the new freedom.

Basically, piece the story together out of events that would come form the characters. That way you're not bogged down thinking of every minute plotline detail, don't have to cram people in, and can write when there's time/ideas strike you. This also allows you to worry about the major plot points later, once you have a better understanding of the characters and setting.

Also, I personally liked the character focus for each chapter, though having so many characters to focus on might be difficult.....

Hey OP, keep it up. I was pretty depressed when I saw the first thread, then submitted my app (I'm the futa loli) just 'cause. Got back and checked the thread for no reason and was pleasantly surprised to find I got picked. It actually made me happy for some weird reason.

Don't give up, but I do have a suggestion. Don't make it too dark. The world needs a little happiness.

I want you guys to have something longer to play this time! I'm not sure how much time Rita Please Respond took you to finish, but it couldn't be more than 10 minutes. This time, the story is longer and more things will happen, so I inevitably need more time to complete it ;_;

Cool, the bump offer was mostly so you would see the reply. But, we might be geographically closer than I expected.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much help I'll be with my character, her flexibility and lack of archetype will certainly make her a challenge. I'll put up any ideas I think of in-between writing other stuff though.

Actually, are the original girls there? Also, was the first /jp/ manor with ren'py? I think those character sprites were auto-generated, which should help some. It certainly would be possible to pick up the story from where it left off in chapter 3, although the explanation by the Onee-sama might be a little stretched ("Lol, I forgot people?"). Starting anew or some terrible accident happening to the old cast is possible too...hmm....

The original was made using ONScripter, but I'm not sure I want to use it. As I already said, the character generator won't be used. In abscence of willing artists, I'm going to put witch 2 in charge of drawing the girls. I already have ´´concept art" (script comes first), and it will be shipped with the game!
