Anybody else playing Takkoman? The 1.03 patch finally made the keystone boss possible so I beat it. The stage after that and before this one was quite hellish.

I've beaten this stage a few times now and I seem stuck here and haven't unlocked anything. No hard mode, none of the gallery stuff, nothing.

Anybody know how to unlock that stuff? The save says I have 50% completion.

Also what are ikubins? I always have 4 and I always get an A for that.

Is this patch big? I haven't even played the game for the first time yet and I just downloaded the 1.00 patch yesterday. I have to download the .999 to 1.02 too right?

I probably should have played the game once since I see it'll direct me to the patch place. What changes from version 1.0? just difficulty?

It's mostly been bug fixes. A friend had a bug where it kept showing him the movie that shows after beating the OP stage and not being able to save any progress due to it acting like he had only just completed the OP stage instead of an actual stage when he was playing an early version.

I was also stopped by a graphical glitch since the keystone boss didn't have warning indicators for where it would drop down.

Currently I wonder if I'm supposed to do the final boss a certain way since I appear stuck there in terms of unlocking stuff like hard mode and the gallery stuff.

The game's originally 0.999 so start from there patchwise with a fresh install.

Well I've managed to beat the final boss under two minutes now. I don't think it's possible to B or A rank the stage due to the way it's set up.

I wonder if more stuff is going to be added in a patch.

I'm doing something wrong in this game. How do I block? Am I just supposed to dash through everything? Too many enemies just pop onto screen firing at you. Spawning an enemy underneath your character and having it attack you immediately is kind of cheap.

Is there a way to fire upwards or are you just supposed to jump dash up and kick them?

This is a Megaman Zero clone. You either avoid everything or kick them out of the way.

No, you can't shoot upwards, diagonally, or below you. Just forward shot and kicks, with the occasional skills.

I wonder how much thought was put into the scoring system. This is for Flandre's stage.

The only A rank I've ever gotten in this game was for the stage that began with a shmup phase. I had C damage and time, but A in creatures defeated and score.

45 enemies is me killing every single enemy I pass in this stage. Am I missing them somewhere? Are there more enemy spawns on hard and lunatic mode? And for score, 100k is just barely a B Rank for this stage. I had to do a perfect combo killing every enemy in the first part before the first pause in enemies which goes too long for a combo to keep going. It goes up to crown rank and was worth 30k in score. Bosses seem to be worth about 30k as well. So for the rest of the stage after the first part and before Flandre I did well enough to get 40k points eventually, but comboing all that perfectly seems too difficult for me.

Has anybody here managed an A rank for a stage besides the shmup one? And if so mind uploading the replay?

I wonder what the requirements for an A are on Flandre's stage. I imagine it's possible to get a slightly better chain with a better route, but what I have already took me like a hundred tries at least.

Managed to optimize my route. A million score doesn't seem to be the breaking point, either that or it's based off the sub ranks.

I've also now spent more time on this stage the entirety of the rest of the game.

I guess I should just patiently wait for more patches.

Both these scores are of the shmup stage, left one is during 1.02 right is 1.010 though they played the same to me besides maybe the boss, I died during on the right pic hence the C in damage.

If anything it shows that overall rank is probably based more on the sub ranks than total score. You may well need to get your creature defeated and score rank higher somehow for any chance of an overall A.

I myself have never gotten overall A on a stage other than the shmup one either, so good luck if you're still going at it.

It keeps your combo going since it hits everything on the screen, I use it a couple of times during my Flandre runs to barely keep a combo going after the hallway bit with no enemies.

The default skill is amazing for letting you be lazy as shit on bosses that can be stunned (eg reisen or iku), as you can just do aaa s aaa s aaa s aaa s etc until you run out of bow meter, and since s's cost is incredibly cheap, you can take out a very large chunk of a boss's life (possibly all of it, depending) in one go, without them ever recovering.

And it appears Flandre's stage needs to be done faster than which I am accustomed. I am accustomed to doing it pretty fast so this is surprising. Going to have to waste no time while killing everything.

Did the longest possible combo in this run that was still doable in a timely manner.

Ranks appear to affect a multiplier that affects your base score. A multiplier of 100 being the best.

It also seems it's possible to A Rank without getting pure A ranks.
