Hahahah and how are we supossed to do this? for example I make 1300 (BEFORE taxes) a month, and I live with my parents so no rent. I'm saving a lot of money, but I'm light years away from buying a place for myself. The most gettho apartments in my city run for 35k. And by gettho I mean literally gettho, small cubicles infested with roaches surrounded by criminals. In a year I can save about 6k. I don't want to be tied for 5 years to some place that is literally a shithole, just because it's "my own shithole". I'd rather pay rent and take it easy somewhere with no responsability.

I always feel jealous when people say they don't pay rent because they live with their parents. I live with my mother and I pay half the rent and utilities and buy my own food. Thankfully our rent is cheap, and I end up paying $225 USD a month for it. Utilities are pretty cheap too, except my mom insists on using 2 air conditioners all year round so electric is high.

My monthly income is 0, but I have enough in savings due to "inheritance" that I can survive for approximately 2 years. As long as I don't get injured or have any surprise expenses and don't buy any toys.

My dream is to make a living on freelance writing. Because I don't need much money for bills and food, I think its doable. Some people require $5000 a month and get it all from writing, so I think I can get maybe $900 a month if I try really hard.

Even if I end up just barely making it and have to skimp on food, I think it'd be neat to live the "starving writer" lifestyle.
