I had an idea for a new Touhou game. It'd be called Touhou 14: Yakumo Family Picnic - Gensokyo Athletic Festival.

The gameplay would be the standard fare, except instead of dodging bullets you'd be competing in sports against the bosses. Hatate could assail you with a curtain fire of baseballs, Aya could kick soccer balls at you because she's super fast, etc.

There could even by an online co-op mode, but you and your partner each only control half the buttons and have to fight two bosses at the same time, simulating a three-legged race.

For the extra stage, you'd have to win a foot race against Yukari. But here's the catch: she can gap herself to the finish line whenever she wants.
