Are there a lot of birds where you live, /jp/?

Sometimes when I look out my window or walk outside I see three or four crows, not a murder, looming about. They are quite fine, majestic satinate birds.

There was two crow pairs fighting outside my window until just now.

I love those birds, they are smart, inventive and faithful.

I love birds in general, but strangely enough none of the bird Touhous are among my favorites.

I used to wake up with the birds singing every morning, but since I moved to the to middle of the city the only birds I see now is fried chicken.

There's a crow of some sort that has it's nest just outside of my window. I feed it and play with it when it has the time. It's been there for over a year and seems kind of old, but has no family or anything. I wonder why, and if it had a tough life.

>> No.9067863

There's a nest I can see from my window, it's on the neighbour's house. A baby robin hatched recently, and I could see the parents bringing stuff back sometimes. This morning, a grackle flew over and grabbed it from the nest. The robins chased the grackle, and it ended up flying right into my window, dropping the little robin. A cat grabbed it, and the robins and grackle tried to chase after the cat. The nest is empty now.

Sure there's a lot of birds here, since I don't really live in the city. However they are for the most part sparrows and other little birds, they are kind hard to spot if you don't pay close attention. I know they are there because I can hear them.

Occasionaly I see magpies and blackbirds, but no crows.

Lotsa crows, pigeons and sparrows.
There's a one legged crow which I really like, it seems to not give a shit about having lost a leg at all. Perches on wires just fine, gets into scuffles with its fellow crows, taunts cats and everything.

I used to feed the pigeons a lot, but then I stopped because the illegal immigrants in the area were trapping those stupid, delicious birds to roast.

Mockingbirds, bluejays, cardinals, mourning doves, and lots and lots of crows. I think there's a murder nested close to my house.

Occasionally a hawk comes through but the bluejays usually chase them off.

Pigeons, sparrows, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, owls and falcons are the ones I can recognize, there are a shitload of small birds that I don't recognise though.

There are lots but I don't know their names.
Our neighbour has a cock which makes noise every morning but I got used to it.

Also when I walk through my neighbourhood there are sometimes chicken and cocks in the gardens without a fence or something which is weird since I don't live on the countryside.
They belong to turkish immigrants I believe

>I see three or four crows

God damnit I'm so freaking jealous of you, crows are amazing birds. The only birds I EVER get to see outside my house 95% of the time are just doves. The other 5% of the time I may see a blue jay or some other bird I'm not familiar with. However, I recently started volunteer work at an animal shelter for birds, and we have all kinds of birds there, including this crow that I really grew attached to. The crow was by far the most well behaved, coolest, and smartest bird there, and he obviously recognized a face when he saw it. Every time I approached him in his cage he'd excitedly start flapping his wings and start making low pitch low volume caws on his perch. He'd let me pet him, stroke his feathers and play around with him when I wasn't feeding him. Fortunately for him he was able to be released and set free, but I really miss the guy. Maybe one day I will be able to adopt a crow or raven of my own.

>> No.9070005

While cycling to town this week, I noticed a crow stuck between planks in a wooden fence, flapping its wings helplessly. I stopped to see if there was anything I could do, and with some patience, I managed to carefully push the bird through the fence. I didn't have time to check if it had hurt its wings, but since it was gone when I got back, they probably weren't injured. It made me feel happy for the rest of the day.

Lots of birds. Mourning doves, blue jays, cardinals, orioles, hummingbirds, grackles, robins, cowbirds, goldfinches, crows and mallards are really common. Snowy owls, wild turkeys and great blue herons are around sometimes, and loons and wood ducks. Same with some sort of hawks. A bit up north I'll occasionally see swans and ospreys. Here's an osprey I saw a while back.

No crows where I live, just rooks, but they do fly splendidly in groups, I like watching them circling around the sky. There are also swallows and swifts in the town, I sometimes have to rescue them when they got stuck in my attic. There's a stray dove pair here and there, though they mostly inhabit bigger cities, and sometimes a lost gull shows up by the river I see from my window. (And there are more birds to see if you go outside the town, swans and ducks and storks by the lakes, partridges in the fields, herons by the river, various birds of prey I could never tell apart.) But most of all, there are sparrows. Hundreds of sparrows, flying around, chirping and generally making a ruckus. Even now, I'm hearing them outside my window. I have always felt there's something missing whenever I left for the bigger city (there's just not enough sparrows in the cities), but I've only recently realized it's those little bastards.

Pic related, it's a sparrow.
