/jp/, we're all friends and family, right? /jp/, I can't take this any more. It's to the point where I seriously cannot take my life for what it is. I've come to the point where I know where I hate myself, and all I am is a disappointment. That's all I am: a disappointment, to myself and the people around me.

I can't take doing nothing with my life any more. I sit here everyday and I have the same schedule. It's so boring. I want to do things. How do you all sit here and do nothing without wanting more? Are you content with that? Are you happy with yourself?

I just want to die unless I can change myself drastically. What's it like doing nothing? Don't you want more? How do you make things interesting by yourself?

I can't do it, /jp/. Please, please help me. I know a lot of you are in the same boat as me. Have any of you gone from doing nothing to something?

Suicide.

Or get a job, work, pay for a place to live and go about your daily life.

There only difference between what you do now and what you would be doing if you were employed is that you would be employed and perhaps have some responsibilities to take care of, like paying a bill - no harder than remembering to brush your teeth or clean the shit in your sink.

I read this like a dystopian plot outline. At first, on the surface, everything seems all nice and idyllic, but then you find out that the food is made of people or everyone uses a shit drag-and-drop script kiddie system that hinders more than it helps in the long run.

Life is shit, the only good thing about being human is that you can rest your back in others and share human warmth, if you can't love yourself then you need others to love, if you're not happy how you're now then drop your pride and seek it. Love is something beautiful that can fix broken hearts, anon.

There have always been two types of NEET. One seems genuinely happy and content living a life with a dim future and minimal social interactions.

The other is pretty much the opposite in that they long first and foremost for social interaction. Most everything in their life is governed by their desire for interaction. Following that they would like a promising future, which usually means worrying about entering schooling or training of some sort eventually in the future. Finally, they're discontent with the labels society has put on them and would like to change their lives for the "better".

Disgusting people, that second group. They really are the lowest of the low. Especially all the people here wanting to get a job, longing for friends outside and being depressed about their NEET lifestyle. Just die already if you are so sad about your NEET life.

I think there's a division on /jp/ between self-loathers and those who are content with their lives, even if they are imperfect or deemed inappropriate by the standards set by society.

If you think about it, most people work their whole lives just to reach a point of stasis towards the end where they can become NEET. The happy NEETs are the ones that figure out how to do this before their health declines and they are unable to enjoy taking it easy at the precipice of death.

If you really want to go do things, then you need to be willing to work towards them. It depends what your goals are. Everyone, and I mean *everyone* has talents or natural predispositions towards some kind of saleable quality. You need to find yours and put in the time necessary, either by work or education, to learn how to exploit these qualities.

Sometimes the exploit is the means to an end. Sometimes the exploit is the end itself. But it doesn't happen by itself. You have to be willing to break the cycle that you are unhappy in. If you aren't, then I suggest learning to enjoy your situation. People can find happiness by merely adjusting their perspective.

Life IS how you perceive it.

it's funny because their health deteriorates far sooner in doing so

No, you're wrong.

Humanity as a whole can be something big, powerful and full of potential, but as single human you can hope to seek more than happiness for you and the ones you love, trying to magnify your existence is the fist step for a bitter existence, love makes people happy
