I'd rather die over and over again on normal than play 2hu on easy.

I never played on anything but Insane since the first time. I can get to the 4th stage now of most 2hus now.

Nope, I went to normal. Started from HrtP so that's why I managed to pick up EoSD easily.

I'd actually recommend starting on Easy mode and working your way up whenever you feel feel like you're comfortable with doing a 1cc run of the current difficulty. Most of the people I know, that have tried Touhou, jumped right into normal mode. They later stopped playing the game because of the fact that it's too hard, and they're too prideful to play on Easy mode for practice.

I started all the games on normal, though once or twice I go to easy mode for leisure playing, like to relax.

I've 1 CCed every game on normal(except touhou 1 and SA) The only time I have ever played easy was to get spell card captures to unlock phantasm in PCB.

I played a bunch of Raiden III before I even touched Touhou so I never played on Easy
