Family doesn't care at all. Took my dakimakura on vacation with my extended family and they didn't care, after sleeping on that thing any other pillow is torture.

Now the other side of my extended family... They'd care, a lot. I can't stand to be around them though, so it's alright.

She knows I like Japanese cartoons, and that Japanese cartoons have girls.
She knows I haven't touched a female in 21 years, and that I'm heterosexual.

My mother has all the elements. But liking 2D in this way is totally foreign to our culture, so she won't ever make the connection.
