Just finished 吸血殲鬼ヴェドゴニア.
This title took longer than expected to finish because of its numerous flaws, almost made me want to quit at several points, made me play other games at other times instead. Battles were dumb/annoying, battle/action sequences description were boring, vampires were boring, plot was linear. Patching is a must, and somehow even though I followed a walkthrough I got 97% on CG.

Anyways, I guess I like bittersweet endings a bit.. although there wasn't sufficient buildup to deliver sufficient emotional impact. Thus what I get were small/moderate gifts after grinding through a heap of shit. Out of all routes I thought Leanhaum was the worst. Maybe its because I gutted her with my own hands 3 whole times in other routes before doing hers last, and the fact that much of her route had significant overlap with Misako's. Skip function was also weird, it was rather slow and pauses a lot. Oh, and Fritz was an annoying mutt.

Enjoyable moments in the game: Phantom phone ring tone, predicting Mora having a regenerative hymen and getting it right, *high-fived* myself., bike scene with Mora but you can only see a bit of her hair (lol), and just Mora in general: she's fucking adorable. Wonder if I should play another Nitro+ title or read something else.

The action sucks, and the battle system makes people rage quit. You can skip the battles but only after grind through one clear. I don't know how its content fair against other vampire games, but I assume they're all pretty much explore the same themes. Vampires that feel superior, or ones bored with their immortality, and any converts join in one of these two categories.

I mean that should've been the biggest hint as to them being in a man-made space. Also, the moon and the sun were never shown in CG, yet various characters said things about both of them. I'm pretty sure those don't have anything to do with another. AA is a satellite out in space or something, the rockets were somewhere on the surface. It (she?) could probably connect there just like that. Controlling the unconnected notebooks in the classroom and dorm was more unbelievable to me. some sort of Science magic or something.

I feel like I remember them talking about that at least once. But more.. factual. Like "hey, it's still not gotten any warmer." - "yeah, lol.".
On the other hand, it feels like it shouldn't have been a problem to change the weather in a man-made space with the technology the whole place was build with. Kind of inconsistent indeed.

I don't think there's really anything there, personally. You don't generally see the sun or moon in CG from my experience, and there probably wouldn't have been any gain from seeing them in the game either.

Just finished 蜜壺 by Snack Factory. It was definitely more than what I expected.

Frankly, this game is worth it just for Mitsuka alone. As a character, she doesn't fall into the typical imouto archetype. Though she acts cute and uses Keigo all the time, her true nature is that of a wicked vixen. She pretty much has no moral standard when it comes to capturing her brother.

I suppose you can label Mitsuka as a yandere, but much more intelligent instead of the usual violent yandere package. For example, in their first night she used Tooru's smartphone to record their relationship consummation and used that to blackmail her brother, saying that she will send it to his fiancee if he doesn't comply.
I am absolutely fascinated by her, not because she's the imouto type or because she's moe. Mitsuka is disgustingly alluring, she even came close to that of a real, manipulative woman. You know it's bad but you can't tear yourself away. Maybe that's why they use 蜜壺 as the title.

I also like how they really bring their major theme home. When they started having sex, Tooru continued to lament how this will never have a happy ending, and it didn't. So after Mitsuka tricked Tooru into getting her pregnant, they decided to run away to a far away place, leaving their aging mother by herself and abandon Tooru's and Mitsuka's fiancees.
In the end, no one is happy saved for Mitsuka.

I didn't think I would rant on this much just for a 6 hour-long nukige.

Just started playing Flyable Heart. I really like it. I really like the characters and Noizi Ito's designs... WHY DID THE TRANSLATION HAVE TO BE SUCH GARBAGE?!?! Finished Satsuki as my first route in Loverable. As I thought it completely stopped being funny halfway through the common route, just like those games always seem to do. In this case it was really a shame, though, since it was really hilarious in the beginning.

The route itself was also really meh and short, and the art quality in the CG seemed all over the place.
She didn't even look like her character sprite in most of them.
Then again, looking at the omake screen it seems like she's got way less CG than any of the other girls (why?! dammit), so maybe the other routes are a bit better / less half assed.
I'll try at least one other route before dropping it alltogether, I guess.

I actually got it to work for agth, never tried ith. And even then, it was far from stable. The text hooking would be really odd for some lines and if you adjusted the text-speed in game to be too fast the lines would become mashed together. Though this was much better than my previous attempts which all resulted in the game crashing or capturing no text at all.

Just create a separate shortcut to AGTH and put the following in the target field: C:\AGTH\agth.exe(or wherever you installed agth) /c /x /HSNC@E164A:Graphics.dll /kf1:200 /pnsysadv.exe

The game must be running before you run the agth shortcut.

I agree the game could be longer, it feels way too short. Other than that, the teasing, and I think the way her eyes are drawn in some cgs.. does make her kinda scary/yandere? but alluring. How are the routes in Dousei Loverable?

I hadn't actually read the original sans for bits and pieces of Tsugumi's route, and I checked out a little bit of Dousei for her route as well, though I got caught up in other things and couldn't get back to it.

Including hairstyles, TsugumiA and SatsukiC are my favorites. KahoA or C works for me too. Chinatsu is meh and I like to pretend Nanako doesn't exist.

Yeah, you make a path then insert the text hook code then put another path to the exe, so I ended up with a file path looking like:

Finished 極道の花嫁. Has to be one of the few VNs that gets actually funnier and much more entertaining as a comedy-VN when you enter the routes themselves. They usually blow their load during the common route, but not this one.

Hi. Sorry for disrupting this thread but I didn't think this deserved a new one.

My sister has enjoyed a lot these DS VNs: all Ace Attorneys, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Last Window: TSoCW and Another Code. She likes them a lot and has completed them many times. They're pretty entry-level and for all ages (she's 13), so I'd like to recommend her some new ones that she might like, just for the sake of not playing the same things again and again. There's also a big requirement that rules out a tons of potential candidates: it has to be in Spanish, since she doesn't speak English.

I've checked VNDB and I've found out these may be good choices:
- Planetarian ~Chiisana Hoshi no Yume~
- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (currently being translated)
- Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Planetarian seems the best because it's short, for all ages and has good reviews. However, despite Higurashi and Umineko not having sexual content, I think it's not really something she can enjoy at her age. I haven't played them so I don't know, though. I hate asking to be spoonfed, but I really have on clue about this: what are some VNs do you think she might enjoy?

Finished JOKER's trial.
It was pretty confusing to read and has the worst start ever. It piqued my interest though.
The protagonist didn't really appeal to me (all he does in the trial is run around like a headless chicken) but the other chars are pretty interesting, especially the main heroine.

Sucks that it feels like this is going to be forced/unavoidable NTR though. Main heroine returned back after being captured missing an eyeball, in bandages and wearing a different set of clothes. I'm pretty sure she was raped and tortured. I hope I'm wrong.

finished reading the JOKER trial, it was suprisingly enjoyable to read. looking foward to reading the full game now. also the main heroine is pretty good.

how was it the worst start ever? I have seen much worse. also about the NTR thing stop calling rape/torture NTR because it isn't. but anyway considering Ikois personality it's pretty hard to tell what exactly happened, she could have as well have fought (she's quite dangerous whats with handling Wako easily and stabbing the protag like its nothing) with joker and have all that happen during the fight and after something happened it forced her to run away. but have to wait and see full game to know what happened. also I don't think the protag is bad, he has few screws loose though just like the main heroine has, so it's pretty hard to judge him yet.

"Baldr Sky" if you want a long VN with okay story and good gameplay.

"Eden* They Were Only Two, On The Planet" if you want to start out with something short and high production values.

"Saya no Uta" is one of the highest regarded short horror VNs by the English community. Lots of gore.

"Subarashiki Hibi ~Furenzoku Sonzai~" if you like something "deep and philosophical". It's basically "Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus ~Denpa and Rape Edition~"

Not the guy you quoted, but I'd say the porn is the main reason I read VNs. If I wanted quality literature, I wouldn't be reading them. Though I do love an enjoyable story in a VN.

Just like how I read LNs, they're just horribly written short books made for Japanese teenagers, but I don't mind some cheap entertainment. If I wanted something with substance though, I would read an actual novel.

It's full on chuuni, the protagonist basically look, sound and act exactly like Araragi and he is Jesus, literally.
