I have a serious problem, /jp/ and I need your'e help.

How do I set up my monitor so I can lay down on my bed while using it facing on either side directions and when laying back? It used to be simple with my laptop but I had to ditch it for a better computer and a 22" monitor. I've done all my computer time laying down for 2+ years now and I don't even have a chair in my room any more and refuse to use one because it hurts my back after half an hour and is uncomfortable to boot.

Please respond...!!

You should have gotten a monitor with pivot functionality.

I'm not sure exactly how that helps since I can just turn it on its side against the wall or the table for left or right lay down access. The biggest issue is when I'm laying down on my back

make a arm and mount it to your ceiling.

An arm? Please explain thoroughly

search "monitor arm"
make a big one.

Maybe they have wireless monitors....

I would just get a breakfast-in-bed type table to place it on while in bed. Yeah, you'll have a bunch of cords, but so what. The battery on my laptop is fired so I have it plugged in 24/7, not to mention the fan that cools it is also plugged in, and the headphones I use which have 15 ft cords are plugged into the laptop.

How exactly do I make a big one? That's also too expensive of a solution and takes too much work.

>> No.9008671

Get a monitor that accepts vesa wallmount, then get a wallmount with a huge long arm that can be mounted to your ceiling, assuming your ceiling is strong enough to hold it.

with power tools and raw metal, shouldn't be that hard.

What do you take me for? Some kind of hobbyist metalworker with a garage full of power tools, scrap metal and welding apparatuses?

>> No.9008748

Maybe I don't actually get your problem, but why dont set it up in front of wherever you're lying? Is it too far for a 22"?

I only use a 38" besides my laptop and am using this exact setup which works great. But you probably would've figured that out yourself if that would've been a possibility.

I can't even imagine anymore how people sit straight for 8hrs+
