The only thing I see is that this world is run by extroverts who speak before they even think, pussy out whenever they're asked to make deep reflections and they believe anyone who isn't like them must be mental patients. They believe the others are not 'team players' or 'people's people' and they feel the need to patronize them and ostracize them.

Apparently autists have obsessive interests.
I used to have them when I was younger.
Not anymore.
Is this depression?

Something that I've noticed happening lately is people labeling anything too difficult or complex for them as "autistic"

It has been mentioned many times before. A girl who wants to read books is suddenly called over by the teacher because the teacher thinks she has "problems" for not wanting to play with toys or other kids. It's just basic logic. Whatever the extroverts believe, no matter how stupid it is, they will spread it to everyone and soon what they believe will become the social norm. The loner, the introvert is less likely to reproduce and more cautious regarding their belief (they know it might be wrong) so their beliefs have a tendency to be weeded out by the extroverts' popular belief. So a girl reading books becomes 'abnormal'.

And psychology is a field in which almost every kind of personality is a disease.

See maths. America is full of experts who can make justifications so that they can feel proud of how math illiterate they are. It's a complete race to the bottom.
