If I were to make an imageboard/community for NEET and shut-ins only, what would I have to do to do it properly?

What boards would you like for it?

What should I AVOID doing?

1. Don't. Your board will never be popular or "the next 4chan" and there are already a million alternatives.
2. Email Tokiko and ask for his /neet/ board files. It had about five regular posters, which is more than you can ever hope for.
3. Don't.

it will just get taken over by normals in the end

they send in stealth agents that pretend to be NEET and one day and steadily reveal that all the things that made them NEET were jokes

SOON.

But really, why would I visit your site instead of any of these:
http://www.1chan.net/overchan/
http://shii.org/2ch/

And these are incomplete lists.

And while this may sound like I'm going against the spirit of anonymous boards, why should I (or anyone else) care about your site? Who are you? Why would I join some site created by a random stranger who figured out how to set up Wakaba? Why would I choose that over established communities almost as old as 4chan itself--iiChan and 4-ch, for example? If you set up "exciting new features" or add thirty niche boards, that isn't going to bring in traffic. Often the opposite, in fact.

But whatever. /soc/ is where you should be asking about this (!WAHa's one, not 4chan's).

For what do they usually do. Substance abuse, anal masturbation, pissing in bottles/shitting on floors, complaining/crying and general shitposting.

/nhk/ — Nullchan Hikikomori Kyoukai.

>> No.8997181

Uboachan has a NEET board, though it's a little /a/ in tone.

4-ch has a pretty good Personal Issues board where being a NEET/shut-in/whatever has been discussed many times before. There have also been a few discussions about the hikikomori phenomenon on other boards.

Archduke had a /neet/ board up and it was okay, but then people discovered he was kind of a jerk and stopped posting.

Every other reasonably large text or image board seems to have a personal issues or advice board of some sort, like 420chan's /qq/ or Tohno-chan's /so/. Even here, we have /r9k/, /adv/, and /jp/ itself.

You are doing nothing new and your board will get three posters, tops. But maybe you'll have really high-level discussion, who knows.

>> No.8999567

If you do it, restrict it to one board only. It keeps the small community together and there isn't much to discuss anyway between a bunch of shut-ins, that could be categorized into topics.

Secondly, don't moderate except for spam. Seriously just do not. Any act of moderation will reduce the posting rate more than is good for a small community. And bad posts are more interesting than no posts at all.

Thirdly, find a diverse community. Nobody will join /jp2/, because /jp/ is faster and there are already spin-offs.

>> No.8999573

Forums are horrible the older people always talk down to you and new people try too hard to be liked by them.
