The tiers in this game aren't really what they seem, it's just that america is far behind JP in this regard so we got those results, same at FR. They're many other high tier characters that didn't even get close to top 16 or even enter the tournament, so everyone is severely mistaken in their initial impressions of MB most of the time as far as America goes

america gets those results because we have a smaller playerbase. If you have a small group of people who play each other often, you start to get predictable results with the same few people taking the top slots all the time, giving viewers a skewed perspective of who the best characters are since in a game like melty, players tend to stick to one characters in tournaments.
For a more extreme example, look at the results of major guilty gear tournaments on the east coast.

I'd actually say you're coming along quite well. You know your basic combos, can do them 90% of the time, decent pressure. Just need to learn all of Catsuki's mixups. Goddamn those mixups. I can't even block the normal one in delay 2.
Also, learn that delay sdj[C] combo I was using (or trying to), allows you to get 5[C] midscreen anywhere, and then lead into 4way, if you want.

Sion's whips (214 series) are near full-screen command grabs that while normally blockable can be used to make her air unblockable, invincible, meterless DP safe and automatically confirm it into a combo (214C). They also pull in and give you a free combo against jump-outs because you can't block during jump startup (all). One of them is low invincible and beats common frame traps straight up among a lot of other things. They can't be circuit sparked(throws) and for some reason also make the rest of the combo also unsparkable. Her blockstrings also give much more and better throw attempts than other characters.
Satsuki 236A and Kouma 214 series are just normal throws and follow all those rules (as in they don't work on enemies in hitstun/blockstun and immediately after). H-Kohaku's command throw may also follow normal throw rules (except being untechable obviously), but she uses it really heavily and her normals are stupid enough to make it easy to land.

Ever heard of act cadenza? There weren't any techable throws. The best characters for stacking up throw damage was and still is sion, akiha, nero.
Nobody fits the definition in this game since there aren't shit enough characters with little to no ability to function doing normal shit.
