Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess is my favorite boss theme.

Sado no Futatsuiwa is my favorite ex-boss theme.

It's very hit-and-miss for me. I love every single stage theme, especially Hall of Dreams ~ Great Mausoleum and Desire Drive.
But as for boss themes, they're almost all pretty terrible IMO. The only ones I like are True Administrator and Sado no Futatsuiwa, the rest are either terrible or mediocre at best.

Other exceptions: Desire Drive, Heartfelt Fancy, Capital City of Flowers in the Sky, Alice Maestra, Interdimensional Voyage... Okay, I guess Voile could qualify as worst, but I like the part that plays when Koakuma shows up in-game.

Of course Stage 3 themes are great too.

I don't know, maybe its just that I'm terrible at the games or have a good memory, but stage 1 themes tend to stick in my head because they're the ones I hear the most, Deep Mountain is the song most embedded in my mind of any period.

That may be true, but I found that Stage 3 bosses usually have the worst themes as well.
Plain Asia, Ryuunosuke no Kappa, Doll Judgement, Rigid Paradise, Traditional Old Man and Stylish Girl, are all...lacking in my opinion.

China's theme is nice though.

Rigid Paradise is probably one of my favourite stage 3 boss themes. I even think that Ghost Lead is really underappreciated. The Ten Desires soundtrack has grown on me immensely since I first played the game.

Futatsuiwa from Sado is probably the catchiest extra boss theme of them all, with the possible exception of Native Faith.

I was the same way with Eiki's theme. I thought it was pretty terrible the first time I heard it, but I can appreciate it a lot more now. Just a shame that she isn't a boss in one of the main danmaku games.

I think almost all stage 6 themes are amazing. Some are fast-paced and some are slower-paced, but all of them do the job of pumping you up for the final battle. They all sound, for lack of a better word, epic.

The only one I'm not crazy about is Mountain of Faith's Cemetery on Onbashira ~ Grave of Being.

It changes, but lately it's been youkai back shrine road. For some stupid reason I thought ZUN just didn't do as good with TD as it's predecessors... until I actually listened to the whole sound track.

Youkai road just sends me away. The shit sounds so amazing... and so fucking Touhou to me. It basically brought me back into my OST phase.
