Even people with money don't "work" for it in equal proportions to the money they receive. Some people receive lots for doing next to nothing, some people receive little for working their fingers to the bone. Pretending to need autism bucks is also work.

I'm not mad I lost, because I don't work. I was actually looking to see how the average autismic /jp/sie would rationalize getting autismbucks because I'm about to go to my intake appointment to apply for disability. I have all my papers and also my doctor's supporting note that I am unable to work, but I'm still very nervous and anxious. I keep telling myself I'll fail and I can never do anything right.

I work as a system administrator for a datacenter. Autism is a prerequisite, and no one has to give me free money.

That said, my job consists of sitting in a datacenter office with closed doors, looking at mango and occasionally running apt-get upgrade and rebooting stuff.

I don't deserve it. The people who work made that choice themselves, so I don't care. The faster this system crumbles, the better.
