That was smooth, thanks for the games.

Tips for your okizeme, be careful of DPs and any other reversals. Try to bait it more, and learn your safe jump ins.
Mix it up with the other basic okizeme: ground/air dash in, air dancing tricks, meaty overhead/unblockables (gets risky).
Practice in training mode what each of your hard knockdowns can do for you. Record it to a dummy and take it on yourself and try to cover the scenarios where you would try to escape using evasive maneuvers (dodging, backdashing), poking, jump outs, or any reversals.

Try to do the same for your blockstring as well, it was pretty much all your normals into 6C into rekka. I didn't see much staggering, try and include more of it.

>> No.8965780

>>8965761
Oh wow thanks for the tips.

As for the blockstring, I was sorta focusing on brute guardbreaking rather than trying to catch the mash-out. I notice that people tend to respect my block string alot, so I kinda stopped staggering the normals.

There's absolutely no shame in using the macro for stick for melty blood, because the game interprets instant airdashes and the like as 6956 or 9656, where many other other airdash fighters use 956. Using the macro won't make you lazy or bad, it's almost necessary for melty however, so get comfortable with it. Almost every top player on stick uses these macros in America and in Japan. There's a reason why, and it's because melty uses alot of dashing, and the instand airdash input is retarded.

Hitbox layout, on the keyboard it would be something like
[A],[S],[D] for 4,2,6
[Spacebar] for 8
[N],[M],[,],[J],[K] for A,B,C,D,E

Rise because more people are considering it.

When you fight with your own equipment it means that what you are thinking "I want to IAD", doesn't match with your results "Fuck I neutral jumped".

Here's my analysis.

Bunker on wakeup. That's the only way to stop getting thrown without compromising your defense. I was expecting you to find a rhythm with 3 2a's and attack right after, that's why I 6b'ed sometimes. However, you didn't. So on your wakeup, I'd 2aaa dash throw; and it worked everytime.

Also, you may have noticed everytime I 214a'ed I would always back dash. Dashing forward and throwing me would be the most appropriate option
there.

ADs are great reversals, I never saw you use one. I don't know if FTohno has a slide, but see if you can combo into it. Don't combo into it on heat and max or you'll get shit damage; only blood heat.

>> No.8984786

>I'd 2aaa dash throw; and it worked everytime.
I was expecting that after the first few times, but I still couldn't get the 2a timing right to knock you out of it. Still, I'll try bunker next time.
>Also, you may have noticed everytime I 214a'ed I would always back dash. Dashing forward and throwing me would be the most appropriate option
there.
Instead of dashing and throwing, I was using my 623b to lead into a combo when I thought you were going to backdash. Sometimes you were spaced so that it didn't hit, but I don't think dash grab would have reached you then either.
>ADs are great reversals, I never saw you use one.
I can only get the input for it right about 10% of the time. I need to go practice that.

Sorry, just wanted to try a fight online, the ping was really bothersome, also I'm really shitty, you almost did a perfect in both fights.

ggs. Sorry I couldn't put up much of a fight most of the time. Not playing at 100%. Not that me at 100% would make much of a difference.

That was some really strange lag at the end. Anyways, GGs, you're on a whole other level.

GGs. Those lag spikes at the end were probably from my side.

GGs. Yeah those were pretty bad. But we had some really good matches.

You should mash out of my guard string more. I shouldn't be allowed to leisurely batter away at your guard meter like that. I'm ALWAYS vulnerable after the rekkas; no matter which one I end on, I have a huge recovery time after them. Jump/mash out there.

Guys, I need serious help. Every time I get knocked down, during wakeup the other player always manages to hit me into a combo. Blocking never seems to work, dodging is very situational, and jumping usually just gets me sent into another combo. Grabs rarely help too.

>> No.8993961

>>8993765
Well, what do you mean blocking never works? Blocking is usually the best answer for many of these situations.
Are you getting hit by overheads/crossovers/mixups/throws? If so you just need to build up your reaction/reflexes to block them and then, if applicable, move on to countering them with pokes/reversals/shields/dodging. For throws you need to muster up the ability to throw break or jump out of them when you see it coming.

If you're struggling with the pressure that follows blocking, you need to calm down and try to find patterns and recognize the weaknesses of the moves they're throwing out, so that you can escape.

It's just instantly on wakeup, I get hit by low attacks usually.

>> No.8994021

>>8993988
Eh? Then I think you should go through that phase where you default to blocking low no matter what for a while.

Unless... the situation your describing means your getting tagged when you tech, which really just means you shouldn't tech.

I'm always going for a low block but somehow the low attacks get me no matter what.

>> No.8994077

>>8994031
Uh well, that's interesting, if you're not getting tricked to blocking incorrectly and still getting hit while doing so...
I'd confirm with whatever your input device/controller is and whether or not its working properly.

If it is then, well fuck you're cursed.
