I truly want to know how you feel /jp/, so I can understand myself better. I love Touhou, I really do. Yet I feel a bit awkward sometimes. When I see cosplayers, or look at Touhou communities, I feel... iffy. I don't feel anything about /jp/ though. Am I jealous? Do I have some kind of desire to be in the middle of every Touhou related thing? Or maybe I just don't want other people close to Touhou, the one thing I love so much. Do any of you feel the same? If so, what am I truly feeling?

Well, I don't reaally like the other communities of Touhou, but I don't really bother with them. But maybe if Touhou was an obscure doujin game that only japan and /jp/ of course knew about, the game wouldn't have this much charm. You can always try to get into similar series that are not really known, though. I would recommend trying a few CAVE games.

what are the other touhou communities by the way? I only know of /jp/ and danbooru, as far as english touhou communities are concerned.
is there some sort of animesuki or gaia equivalent touhou forum in the west...?

Probably this, it's waifu mentality, just over an entire franchise. You're forced to see unworthy scum and normals having the audacity to pretend they care about something as much, if not more, than you.

I'm not a particularly large touhou fan, but I've felt the same over other things, I've just rationalized it as that.

I don't understand this mentality. If there was something I'd love so much, I'd want to share it with everyone so that more people would be able to appreciate it. If I had a wife I'd let her get fucked by a lot of men this way everyone would have fun with her not just me.

I'm fine with Touhou related stuff it seems as long as I'm there and getting involved and one is insulting or it making stupid in-accurate responses to it.
