Realistically, Yomi would be the best in a relationship even though she is the most boring in the series (I don't even have any pictures saved of her).
-Sakaki doesn't have any diversity in interests.
-Tomo is too hyper for the typical take it easy /jp/er.
-Osaka is ok on her own, but two people with autism together is no good.
-I'm not pedo enough for Chiyo as she is, but she has potential to be a good working wife for a stay at home husband.
-Kagura would actually be pretty good, but too competitive and would probably cheat on you.

The only other realistic option is the two hags. Personally I quite like older women, but I feel like I should keep this to the main cast.

Azumanga Daioh was just what I would call perfect. It was a time when rather than pointing out the flaws in something it was just enjoyed. It was funny, witty and above all I would say just so amazingly wonderful that I will always hold in my heart after almost a decade.

There will be nothing like it again. Many have tried, many of have failed. It is a gem that should be viewed and held in the highest regard and something that should be preserved for future generations to enjoy.

I watched it like 3 times back in the day but I still think it's a solid 8/10. It's just another nice relaxing show, like Aria or Marimite.

Azumanga just found the perfect formula of pun, jokes and general laidback scene.
The 3years that you spend with them was just right.
Many have tried but fail. Closest was YuruYuri with Kyouko in Tomo role and Yui in Yomi role.

Tomo is my favorite. I could identify with her. I'm quite the genki myself, obnoxious and hyper competitive in everything even when I'm out of my league. I ended up alienating alot of my friends because of how annoying I was, now I have none and I just stay home all day.

Tomo isn't "genki".

Tomo is mentally unstable to the point of being self-destructive, and that's what makes her character great. She's one of the few characters whose weirdness isn't a gimmick to make them cute, but a real problem that has to be accepted and acknowledged by her friends.

Azumanga was and still remains one of the best comedy anime series ever produced. There are others of the same kind that are quite good, but how many are still remembered and loved after 10 years?

And before some anon replies again that it's nostalgia yada yada... first I lived long enough to consider Azumanga among the recent anime I've seen not the firsts, I was nowhere close to my childhood back then and adoloscence was gone too.
Second, there are a LOT of anime that were popular around that time, but only a very selected few are still regarded as great anime. So you can't explain this merely with nostalgic feelings.
