Since Mabinogi (EU) is down forever, can you guys tell me about a good mmorpg? I really don't feel like mooving to NA servers because of reasons.
Also I'm missing PSO2 because of moonrunes and I feel bad about it.

You can easily get into the beta with just knowing kana, There's like 100 or so characters to memorize.
I have the most minimal knowledge of japanese and could do it, why can't you?
You can memorize kana in a week, and navigate a lot of japanese websites with just that.

I learned Kana in three three days using memrise and honestly, it's easier then memorizing all of the Pokemon.

In that case you just need to be more systematic about it. Focus on the ones you are having trouble with. Honestly shit like ツ and シ, and ン and ソ don't look that similar once you have practiced a little. Use Anki or something, that way you don't even half to think about which ones to study more, it does it all for you.

Yep the problem is always the cash shop, and the game then becomes Pay to win. (and most of the F2P are generic as fuck)

OP, there's an English "patch" for PSO2 that covers a lot of the basic information (character creation, menus, quest objectives).
I have a friend who doesn't understand any Japanese and he's been playing it the entire time, totally fine.
If you try it, just don't be intimidated by it. Take it easy (since you only have this weekend left anyway) and learn by trial and error. It's been really fun so far.
