How did you tell your parents that you were a NEET /jp/?

I am trying to build up the courage to tell mine but it's just useless I am too much of a loser to do it by myself.
Since I was little I was a complete failure. I had to drop HS and I have never worked a single day in my entire life. I always had everything given to me by my parents. I really don't know the meaning of the word "work".
My mom is in her late 60s and I am afraid the notice that I am a NEET might shock her so much she'd die. My dad would probably beat me to the death so let's forget about him.

But I want to do it.
I really want to. My parents deserve to know who I truly am. I need to do it before I become a wizard and off myself to gensokyo.
