In contrast to RTK, it goes out of its way to teach readings alongside meaning. Personally, I think that it helps memorizing a lot.
Keep it real, Hellodamage

>>8908379
Looks interesting. Does it use a similar order to RtK? That's what I think is the real genius of RtK; the way he introduces the new primitives.

Would you recommend it if I already know meanings, but not readings? I was planning on learning readings in context with my current deck (Core 6K), but they are falling behind compared to understanding. If not I'll probably try out RtK volume 2.

If there's one thing I would recommend from doing RtK, is that you should be consistent in learning new stuff. If you tell yourself to always do a certain amount per day, and get into the habit, it's much harder to slack off. I finished RtK in exactly 4 months, and it probably could have been 3 or less if I was more consistent.

How about kana? I learned them in a week or so, and I have them completely down now, but I hear some people find them hard.

you mean radicals?

Well, I don't know. You might try to plow through KD's mnemonics (some of them are hilarious) and get the Onyomi reading. No mnemonics for Kunyomi, sadly.

Maybe just read the author's introductory rant and see if he's any good in your case.
http://kanjidamage.com/introduction

Just one thing: if you were used to Heisig's politeness, don't be shocked by some of KD's vulgarities. (He doesn't use yo momma jokes as frequently as the main page insinuates, though)

>you mean radicals?
Pretty much. It's Heisig's term, includes more than are usually recognized as radicals

>Maybe just read the author's introductory rant and see if he's any good in your case.
Looks cool, I'll check it out

>Just one thing: if you were used to Heisig's politeness
Ha, no way. I used koohii for the majority of them, and while Heisig may hold back, they sure as hell don't on there. I substituted out the "missile" primitive Heisig suggested for "semen", because one person posted something like "If you use semen instead, it makes the perfect story for EVERY SINGLE KANJI IT IS IN". And it did.

The outdated one. The onyomi readings and the translations of Kun and some keywords are changed compared to the new kanjidamage layout that's used on the site. But it really doesn't matter since I always manage to grind 20 kanji everyday using the site itself, so I'm pretty much always ahead of the new cards that come up on Anki. I just do Anki for improving kanji retention. Also because it's gonna be a pain to do rereviewing when I reach the 1000 mark.
