You'd have to be insane to not pick Okuu.

She has three legs.

Also I think there's an actual team with a three legged crow icon.

My team wins. Better luck next time.

Youmu - can move faster than you can see - thousands of points per minute
Reimu - armpit distraction
Yukarin - manipulates the boundary of the hoop
Suwako - jump shots
Yuugi - knocks people down

The point guard's job is to be the floor general; they control and distribute the ball when their team has possession. They're generally the smallest, fastest guy on the court. You also want your PG to be a good defenser, because they're going to be defending the opponent's PG. They can also be good shooters (Steve Nash) or drive to the basket (Derrick Rose), but they don't have to be dedicated scorers to still be successful (Jason Kidd, Rajon Rondo). Good Touhous for this would include Marisa, Youmu, Aya, and Nazrin.

The shooting guard's job is to be an outside shooter, someone that can score consistently without needing to drive to the basket. Particularly important is their ability to shoot three-point shots. Quality defense is a plus (a few SGs are better defenders than shooters, such as Thabo Sefoloshia), as is the ability to drive to the basket (James Harden), but it's not the highest priority. Decent height, but nothing special in that regard. The Touhou that immediately comes to mind for me for this is Momizi. If not her, maybe Eiki or Nue.

The small forward is probably the least defined role. Some small forward are essentially slightly-taller shooting guards (Paul Pierce), some are dedicated defenders with the occasional offensive display (Ron Artest, Andrei Kirilenko), some are pure scorers (Carmelo Anthony), and some that don't fit any mold (Josh Smith). Then there's guys like LeBron James and Kevin Durant that just shit all over you no matter what situation you're in. In my opinion, the more versatile your SF, the better, but Paul Pierce has been my SF for over a decade and he's very well-rounded, so I might be a bit biased. SFs are also where players start to get pretty tall. Reimu would be a decent choice here. If not her, then Alice or maybe Keine. Satori could be an interesting choice as well, as she seems the lockdown-defender type.

The center's job simplified is to stand near the basket, grab rebounds, block shots, and throw down the occasionaly dunk/alley-oop. You'll find the odd outside-shooting center (Mehmet Okur, Kevin Love), but many of them are the defensive keystones of their teams (Kendrick Perkins, Samuel Dalembert, Marcus Camby when healthy). There are also centers that are quality inside scorers in addition to being good defenders (Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Yao Ming before retiring), but your center is typically not your primary scoring option. The obvious choice here is Yuugi, with Komachi, Meiling, or even Iku as possible backups.

My personal picks would probably be Aya/Momizi/myself/Ran/Yuugi.

>> No.8896324

The power forward's job is to be an interior scoring and rebounding thread. They combine with the center to be a teams' inside presence on both ends of the court. The power forward tends to be more offensively inclined than the center, but also a little less defensively inclined (this includes rebounding). LaMarcus Aldridge and Al Jefferson are fairly standard quality PFs. This is not to say PFs can't be All-Pro defenders, though, given guys like Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan in their primes. I'd probably stick Ran or Utsuho here, or possibly Meiling, Komachi, or even Shou or Byakuren.

Feeling pretty good after the Bruins victory today. The Red Sox got rained out, too, so I didn't have to watch them lose.
