Why didn't T's System continue to make more Touhou figures? They did a great job on them, the quality was fine, and they just kept getting better with the newer releases. Not just that, but they were the only ones making 1/6 scale to my knowledge, and the preorders for some of them sold out instantly after they opened up. Unfortunately the only two figures I have by them are of Alice and Sanae, and I'm really regretting not jumping on their Aya and Yukari while I still had the chance.

Also OP, were you the one that had that garage kit of Okuu?

The problem with just checking websites is that you'll only find professional level painters so you'll be paying insane prices, I've seen painting services go for up to £200 for a GK.

The best way if you want to get something for a somewhat reasonable price is to look for someone's painting that you like the look of and ask if they're willing do a commission for you, best places for this will probably be E2046's forums and other GK forums.

Just got this figure in the mail this morning. Feel like sharing so here's a quick snap with my phone. I've been wanting this figure for a long time so I didn't think twice but pre-ordered her immediately after I noticed the rerelease.

The summer dress version of Asuka is my absolute favourite and the pose and the expression is really cute. A lot of people have criticized the face, but I think it's ok. The sample photos on different sites don't do it justice. Definitely looks a lot better in person and it fits the Sadamoto illustrations.

Now I think I'll try to make a little photo studio setup to get some better pictures of her later on.

Does anyone hate when you pick out figs that are in fairly neutral poses, and look they're fairly balanced and can stand, have legs at *just* the wrong angle, or feed with incomplete heels, so force you to use the crappy stands they come with?

Most stands are pretty ugly. If you get cool bases, then OK, but they take up more space and you can't really position them how you like.

Just been modifying a bunch of figures with The Green Stuff on the heels so they can stand. I did this to my Touhou Nendo Petits as "patch of grass" wasn't really an exciting base.

I got two Panty & Stocking figures that have nice chunky lower legs, but don't stand at all.

I need to get better stands though.

I'm usually into posable action figures, but I'm getting more and more into 4"~ trading figs, as I've been very impressed with some. I say the "Surfer's Paradise" Touhou figures a while back, some of them were very good(others a bit bleh due to odd colour choices and stuff), I might try to find some on Madarake. I like the Petits & Pink Company figs but they're not going to make any more any time soon, there's a few characters in that line that weren't made in that.

Okay guys, I need professional assistance.
I've recently bought my first figurine and I just don't know what to do with her. It was sort of a sudden decision, I've wanted a figurine for a long time and this one was made by Good Smile Company which I heard is one of the better ones so I bought her. She wasn't cheap and she doesn't seem to have that black circle to stand on like in the picture, but I'm happy that I have her and all.
Problem is, I have no idea how to keep clean and treat a figurine. Is there a tutorial around for what chemicals should be used to keep figurines clean or how to touch them and stuff? I guess alcohol and a clean cloth would suffice, but I hear that the paint can erode easily if no sufficient attention is paid.
She is still in her box and I think I'd like to keep her like that. It's the best way to keep her safe. Is it normal to have all of your figurines in their original boxes?
